The invention relates to a shrink label. According to an embodiment the shrink label comprises an uniaxially oriented multilayer face film comprising skin layers including polyethylene polymer(s) and at least two cyclic polymers comprising different glass transition temperatures between 30 and 100° C. and the difference between the glass transition temperatures being between 5 and 60° C., and wherein the multilayer face film is seamed by a solvent. The invention further relates to a method for providing a shrink label, use of the shrink label, method for providing a shrink label and method for labelling.
Container sleeving device, system and method
The present disclosure relates to a container sleeving device, system and method for arranging sleeves on a plurality of containers, wherein the sleeves are made of tubular foil material made to pass over the circumferential outer surface of a spreading element, the container sleeving device comprising:—a spreading element configured to spread open the tubular foil material passing from a proximal spreading element portion (31) towards a distal spreading element portion (34);—a cutting unit (25) for cutting the spread-open tubular foil material to form a sleeve;—a sleeve discharge unit (28) configured to accelerate the sleeve to move over the outer surface of the distal spreading element portion so as to discharge the sleeve towards a container; wherein the distal spreading element portion and/or the proximal spreading element portion has one or more pressure regulating openings configured to regulate the pressure close to the outer surface of the distal spreading element portion and/or of the proximal spreading element portion.
FIXING WRAP-AROUND LABELS WITH LED-CURABLE ADHESIVES
Provided herewith are methods of preparing a labeled article comprising curing an LED-curable adhesive on a film label such as a shrink film label, wherein at least portions of the LED-curable adhesive are disposed in the overlap formed between a leading edge and trailing edge of the film label. The curing can be conducted at a temperature below 70° C. and is suitable for labeling 500-720 articles per minute in a sequential manner. Also provided herewith are apparatus for labeling articles with film labels, such as shrink film labels comprising an LED station. Further, a method of retrofitting an existing hot-melt labeling system for use in labeling articles with film labels such as shrink film labels is also provided.
Sleeve applicator system and method
The present invention is related to a sleeve applicator system for applying a heat-shrinkable sleeve to an object that moves in a first direction. The present invention further relates to a corresponding method. According to the invention, a second mandrel is mounted in a flexible manner to a first mandrel. A second drive system is used for moving the heat-shrinkable sleeve from the first mandrel over the second mandrel towards the object. The second drive system is further configured to push the second mandrel such that the second mandrel moves along with the moving object during the application of the sleeve.

System and method for applying tubular shrink sleeve material to containers
A machine for applying tubular film to products includes a film feed path along which a supply of continuous tubular film is fed, and a sleeve eject station at which the film tubing is cut into sleeves that are ejected onto products passing the sleeve eject station. At least one sensor is positioned along the film feed path upstream of the sleeve eject station for detecting a splice in tubular film traveling along the film feed path. A controller is configured for controlling the machine such that, upon detection of a splice in the tubular film, a defective sleeve that includes the splice thereon is ejected into a gap between successive products so as to prevent application of the defective sleeve to any product.
Tubular banding applicator and method
An apparatus for applying a tubular band from a supply of flat tubular material to a container includes a flat film feed path and a cutter positioned for cutting tubular material traveling along the feed path. A former is positioned downstream of the cutter for opening the tubular material and includes a film passage with an inlet side and an outlet side. The flat film feed path enters the film passage and a cut segment of tubular material is opened within the film passage to create an opened tubular band. A pusher pushes the opened tubular band out of the outlet side of the former for container application. The pusher includes a film engaging portion that is aligned with and movable into and out of the film passage. The film engaging portion is offset from the flat film feed path to prevent interference with flat tubular film entering the passage.
