To provide a production method for a cleaning tool and a cleaning body with which the attachment of a holding tool to the cleaning body is facilitated. Provided is a production method for a cleaning tool provided with a cleaning sheet, and a holding tool for holding the cleaning sheet. The cleaning sheet is provided with: a base part; and a first fiber assembly which is bonded to the base part. The production process includes a step in which tensile force imparted to the first fiber assembly is released, and fibers in a state of having been stretched by the tensile force are shrunk to form bent regions in the base part.

OVERMOLDED INSERTS AND METHODS FOR FORMING THE SAME

Overmolded inserts and methods for forming the same The present disclosure is directed to overmolded inserts (100) with reduced internal residual stress and corresponding methods for forming the overmolded inserts. The overmolded inserts have a polymer housing; metal or metal allow tapered insert (104, 302) and a compression element (106, 304) disposed between the housing and the distal end of the tapered insert. During formation, the tapered insert and compression element are placed within a mold. The polymer housing material is heated and filled into the mold. As the polymer housing cools, the compression element is compressed between the polymer housing and the tapered insert. The overmolded inserts formed have reduced internal residual stress relative to a corresponding insert formed from non-tapered insert.

Apparatus for applying heat shrinkable casings onto preinsulated pipe joints

An automated heat shrink device, useful for forming a connection between two tubular sections having a polymeric outer surface jacket, for example, a connection between two sections of a district heating pipeline, and a method of use thereof. The device is configured such that it requires minimal clearance to either side of the pipeline when being used.

COSMETIC CONTAINERS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE

Methods of manufacturing and fixtures for manufacturing containers, particularly for holding cosmetic products, using thin-walled tubes. One end of a container may be formed using an integral process, such as insert molding, while the other end of the container is formed using assembly steps, such as welding, to form a completed cosmetics container from a thin-walled tube.

Apparatus for repair of polyolefin pipes and structures

A repair system for repairing a polyolefin pipe containing a transitional film applied over and bonded to the pipe and a reinforcement system, applied over the transitional film. The transitional film has a first side adapted to bond to polyolefins and the reinforcement system contains a fiber-reinforced polyurethane system bonded to the second side of the transitional film. A system two polyolefin tubular members joined end-to-end containing two tubular members arranged such that their respective ends are adjacent, thereby defining a circumferential joint, a transitional film applied and bonded to the circumferential joint and at least a portion of the two tubular members, and a reinforcement system applied over the transitional film. The transitional film has a first side adapted to bond to polyolefins and the reinforcement system contains a fiber-reinforced polyurethane or a fiber-reinforced epoxy system bonded to the second side of the transitional film.

Hybrid composite-metal shaft
09821520 · 2017-11-21 · ·

A method for making a composite-metal hybrid shaft for a rotorcraft includes providing a tubular metal member that has an internal surface defining a space therein, preparing a composite member using a curing tool, curing the composite member, creating a cured composite member, expanding the metal member with heat, placing the cured composite member into the space defined by the internal surface of the expanded metal member, and allowing the expanded metal member to cool.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE APPLICATION OF SHRINK FILM SLEEVE

A method and a device for applying a shrink film sleeve to a container is provided. The method includes perforating the shrink film sleeve at predefined intervals, expanding the perforated shrink film sleeve by means of an expansion device, such as an expansion mandrel, conveying the expanded shrink film sleeve along the expansion device by a conveyor roller pair, tearing off the shrink film sleeve at the perforation by means of a downstream dispensing roller pair whose conveying speed is at least temporarily higher than the conveying speed of the conveyor roller pair, and shooting the torn-off shrink film sleeve onto the container.
