INTERNAL TENSIONING STRUCTURE USEABLE WITH INFLATABLE DEVICES
An internal tensioning structure for use in an inflatable product fulfills the basic function of maintaining two adjacent inflatable surfaces in a desired geometric arrangement when the inflatable product is pressurized. The tensioning structure is formed by connecting a pair of plastic strips sheets via spaced-apart strands, such as strings or wires. When pulled taut, the strands provide a high tensile strength between the two opposed plastic strips. At the same time, the plastic strips facilitate a strong, long-lasting weld between the tensioning structure and the inflatable product.
Methods and apparatuses for universal interface between parts in transport structures
Techniques for providing universal interfaces between parts of a transport structure are disclosed. In one aspect of the disclosure, an apparatus for joining first and second parts of a transport structure includes an additively manufactured body having first and second surfaces. The first surface may connect to a first part such as, for example, a panel. The second surface may include a fitting for mating with a complementary fitting on a second part.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING COMPONENTS OF AN OUTER SKIN OF A VEHICLE
A method for producing components of an outer skin of a vehicle with a film, which is back-molded at least from one a front side or rear side with clear plastics material, includes subjecting the film to a thermoforming process in order to generate the desired three-dimensional form. The film is subjected to further steps for preparation of the back-molding, including providing the film at least partially with a color layer. The film includes regions, through which other colors are intended to show through and be visible from the front side, or electromagnetic waves are intended to pass. The film may be punched-out in the regions to define punched-out portion in which components are inserted. The components are attached to the film by adhesive and/or overmolding on the rear side.
TISSUE WRAP DEVICE WITH ATTACHMENT FEATURES
The present disclosure provides tissue wrap devices with embedded three dimensional attachment features, methods of manufacturing three-dimensional attachment features for tissue wrap devices, and methods of using a nerve wrap device to protect a damaged nerve. Tissue wrap devices of the present disclosure may include a sheet of biocompatible material, the sheet having a first side, a second side, a middle portion, a first outer portion, and a second outer portion, the first side of the first outer portion being configured to overlap and interface with the second side of the second outer portion when the sheet is transitioned to a rolled configuration; wherein the first side of the first outer portion comprises a plurality of three dimensional attachment features; and wherein the plurality of three dimensional attachment features are configured to engage with the second side of the second outer portion to maintain the sheet in the rolled configuration.
BONDING OBJECTS TOGETHER
A method of bonding a second object to a first object includes: providing the first object having a thermoplastic liquefiable material in a solid state; providing the second object having a surface portion that has a coupling structure with an undercut, so that the second object is capable of making a positive-fit connection with the first object; pressing the second object against the first object with a tool that is in physical contact with a coupling-in structure of the second object while mechanical vibrations are coupled into the tool; continuing to press and couple vibrations into the tool until a flow portion of the thermoplastic material of the first object is liquefied and flows into the coupling structures of the second object; and letting the thermoplastic material re-solidify to yield a positive-fit connection between the first and second objects by the re-solidified flow portion interpenetrating the coupling structures.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING FUNCTIONAL-SUBSTANCE THIN FILM MATERIAL, FUNCTIONAL-SUBSTANCE THIN FILM MATERIAL, AND LAMINATE THEREOF
In an embodiment, a process for producing a functional-substance thin film material for which a required heating temperature for finishing is 100-130° C. is characterized in that a PP film 2 is releasably laminated to a surface of a PET film 1 with a non-silicone adhesive layer 3 so that the strength of adhesion of the PP film 2 by the non-silicone adhesive layer 3 is regulated so as to prevent the PP film 2 from suffering thermal deformation when a functional substance superposed in a thin film form on the other surface of the PP film 2 is heated to 100-130° C. in order to finally convert the functional substance into a functional-substance thin film material 4.
ULTRASONIC BONDING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ULTRASONIC BONDING USING THE SAME
An ultrasonic bonding apparatus includes a stage having an upper surface on a plane defined by a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction, a head part spaced apart from the stage in a third direction crossing the first direction and the second direction, a first ultrasonic generator which vibrates in a direction parallel to the first direction, and a second ultrasonic generator which vibrates in a direction parallel to the third direction, where each of the first ultrasonic generator and the second ultrasonic generator may be coupled to the stage or the head part.
Filling film and method of manufacturing organic light-emitting display apparatus by using the same
Provided are a filling film and a method of manufacturing an organic light-emitting display apparatus by using the filling film. The filling film includes a filling material, a first releasing film attached to a surface of the filling film, a second releasing film attached to another surface of the filling film, and a supporting layer attached to the second releasing film. The bonding force between the second releasing film and the supporting layer is greater than the bonding force between the filling material and the second releasing film.

Method for connecting components of a microfluidic flow cell
A flow cell and a method for connecting components of a microfluidic flow cell, in particular for integrating component parts into a carrier structure of the flow cell, in which a gap is formed between the components to be connected. The gap is filled with a solvent. The material of at least one component bordering the gap dissolves in the solvent and the material completely fills the width of the gap and partially fills the height thereof after evaporation of the solvent.
