Connection device for pipe elements
A connection device for plastic pipe elements (1) which allows performing pre-assembly and being finally assembled without requiring skilled labor, having a pipe element (1) with at least one end, a plastic connection element (2) which is connected to an outer surface of the pipe element (1) through the end, which has a resistance wire (3) wound on the outer surface of the pipe element (1) itself.
SOCKET FUSION JIG
A socket fusion jig includes a pipe saddle and coupling saddle spaced apart. Rotation of a handle causes the pipe saddle and coupling saddle to move laterally relative to one another so that the pipe held in the pipe saddle may be fused to the coupling held in the coupling saddle.
Electrofusion fittings and methods
An electrofusion fiting (20) comprises a fitting body (24) and an electrofusion collar (26). The fitting body (24) has an exterior surface (30), an interior surface (32), and a terminal portion (44) extending to a rim (34). The collar (26) has: an inner wall (42) having a heating element (60); a segmented outer wall (40) spaced radially apart from the inner wall; and a linking portion (46) linking the outer wall and inner wall. The fitting body terminal portion is between the inner wall and the outer wall. The collar and fitting body have interfitting features (150, 152) axially retaining the collar against extraction from the fitting body while permitting relative rotation of the collar and the fitting body.
TOOL FOR FIXING A TEXTILE SLEEVE ABOUT AN ELONGATE MEMBER TO BE PROTECTED AND METHOD OF FIXING A PROTECTIVE TEXTILE SLEEVE ABOUT AN ELONGATE MEMBER
A tool for fixing a protective textile sleeve about an elongate member contained therein, and method of use thereof is provided. The tool includes a clamp assembly having opposed clamp members. Each of the clamp members has a clamp surface for abutting the textile sleeve. Each of the clamp surfaces includes a plurality of heating members operably connected to a source of power. The heating members within each clamping surface are supported for independent radial movement relative to one another in response to engagement with an outer surface of the textile sleeve to allow the clamp surfaces to automatically conform to the arcuate shape of the sleeve and elongate member being clamped therebetween.

Sidewall bonder and method for bonding sidewalls to thermoplastic belts
A bonder and a method for bonding corrugated sidewalls to a thermoplastic belt at a splice joint. Two heating jaw assemblies with complementary and confronting corrugated vertical faces clamp a thermoplastic belt to a base of the bonder with a corrugated sidewall section separated from the belt across a splice joint received in a corrugated slot formed between the confronting vertical faces. Corrugated bonding strips at the bottoms of the corrugated vertical faces apply heat to melt the bottom of the sidewall section on opposite sides to bond the corrugated sidewall section to the base.
Making a plastic tank having a weld joint by using a resilient clamp
A plastic tank is comprised of two parts, a base and a top, that are permanently joined to each other by welding at a circumferential joint formed by two mating flanges of the parts. Fusion weld elements are captured on the faying surfaces of the flanges of the assembled parts, and the elements melted by internal heating of metal portions of the elements. Before heating of the elements, the flanges are gripped by a clamp which applies a resilient force which, during welding, causes the flanges to move toward each other and thereby a good weld joint is formed.
