Pants-type wearing article and production method for same
A pull-on garment (1) includes an outer cover (3) forming an outer surface of the garment, both lateral side edge portions of the outer cover in a front body portion F and both lateral side edge portions of the outer cover in a back body portion R being joined to each other to form a pair of side seals (4), a waist opening (8), and a pair of leg openings (9). Each of the side seals (4) includes a seal edge portion (41) where the edge portion (3F) of the outer cover (3) in the front body portion F and the edge portion of the outer cover (3) in the back body portion R are bonded to each other by a continuous linear fusion-bonded portion (40) extending in a longitudinal direction of the side seal (4). In a cross-section orthogonal to a direction in which the side seal (4) extends, the fusion-bonded portion (40) includes a narrow section (4F) which is formed at a middle portion thereof in the thickness direction Q and of which a width W along the inner-to-outer direction P is small. The narrow section (4F) includes broad sections (4A, 4B) which are provided on both sides of the narrow section (4F) in the thickness direction Q and of which the width W is larger than the width of the narrow section (4F).
Absorbent article with fusion bonded side seams
A pull-on diaper 50B of the invention includes an outer cover assembly 3 defining the exterior surface of the diaper. A front body portion F and a rear body portion R of the outer cover assembly 3 are connected to each other along their laterally opposite side edges to form a pair of side seams 4, a waist opening 8, and a pair of leg openings 9. Each side seam 4 has a sealed edge portion 41 where the front body portion side edge 3F and the rear body portion side edge 3R of the outer cover assembly 3 are bonded to each other at a continuous linear fusion bond extending in the longitudinal direction of the side seam and, in part, a non-sealed portion 42 where the front body portion side edge 3F and the rear body portion side edge 3R of the outer cover assembly face to each other in a non-bonded relationship.
Method for manufacturing fused sheets
In the present invention, one surface of a belt-shaped sheet laminate (10), in which a plurality of sheets are laminated, is pressed against a support member (21) having a light passage section (27) through which a laser beam (30) can pass, and the belt-shaped sheet laminate (10) is irradiated, from the support member (21) side via the light passage section (27), with a laser beam (30) to cut and fusion-bond the belt-shaped sheet laminate (10), thereby sealed edge sections (4) are formed by fusion-bonding the edge sections of the plurality of sheets.

A water vapor permeable, waterproof textile laminate, comprising at least two layers made of planar web material, which are disposed on top of each other and bonded to each other, wherein an open fabric web comprising polymer fiber threads forms a top tier and a film-like, water vapor permeable, waterproof thermoplastic membrane web forms a bottom tier. The polymer fiber threads of the fabric web comprise raised thread regions, which are held bearing against the membrane web and/or are partially fused into the membrane web, wherein the membrane web comprises integral fusion areas with the raised thread regions, which are generated according to the invention by way of laser light in a laser transmission welding method.
