Welding Apparatus
A welding apparatus (1) for radio-frequency, RF, welding, comprises: a clamp (10) having two electrodes (100, 101; 100′, 101′) being movable with respect to one another for clamping one or more items (2; 2′) therebetween for a welding process; and an RF power supply (11) for providing an RF welding current to the electrodes (100, 101; 100′, 101′) of the clamp (10), the RF power supply being adapted to change the frequency of the RF welding current during the welding process.

The bioprocessing system includes an automated system comprising means for manipulating a fluid connection between a first container and a separable second container whereby to create an aseptic connection that enables a controlled transfer of fluid or cell material between the first container and the second container, wherein the means for manipulating a fluid connection is configured to create an aseptic connection that can be disconnected after the transfer of fluid or cell material is complete to enable a further such fluid connection to be manipulated between the first container and a separable third container, and means for controlling an automated sequence of operation of the processing stations.
Support device for a tubular element for a welding apparatus and welding apparatus comprising the support device
A support device for a tubular element, includes a housing part configured to house, during use, the tubular element, and at least a mobile part for guiding and positioning the tubular element and for protecting the housing part. The mobile part is configured to assume at least a first position to access the housing part of the tubular element, in order to easily insert the tubular element into the housing part, and to assume at least a second position to retain the tubular element and to at least partly cover said housing part and the tubular element positioned therein. The mobile part includes a lever for passage from the first position to the second position and drivable by the tubular element during its insertion into the housing part.

Plastic Tube Sealing Device
A plastic tube sealing device includes a clamp which has a pair of jaws that can move relative to each other for inserting and crimping a plastic tube, the jaws containing high-frequency (HF) jaw electrodes, and includes an electrical HF power supply circuit including an HF generator and the HF jaw electrodes. The plastic tube sealing device further includes an impedance control device (9) for acting towards maintaining an impedance of the HF power supply circuit constant during a respective welding operation by correspondingly controlling the variable impedance HF resonant circuit. For this purpose, the HF generator includes a variable impedance HF resonant circuit with a capacitor unit and a coil unit, and includes the jaw electrodes, wherein the inductance of the coil unit and/or the ohmic resistance of the HF resonant circuit is/are variably adjustable and/or wherein the capacitance of the capacitor unit is variably adjustable and the capacitor unit has an electrically controllable capacitance diode or at least one movable capacitance-altering capacitor electrode arranged in the clamp.
Sealing appliance
An appliance for sealing elastic hoses with a sleeve, which is plastically deformable and slipped onto the hose, has two jaws which are movable towards and away from each other. One jaw has two straight bars which project towards the other jaw and extend transversely of the sleeve to make two transverse indentations in the sleeve and the hose when the jaws are moving towards each other. The same jaw has a cutting edge which projects towards the other jaw and is directed transversely of the sleeve, the cutting edge making a substantially transverse cutting indication in the sleeve and the hose when the jaws are moving towards each other.
Sterile Connection Of Tubing
A sterile connection device includes first and second carriages. The first carriage defines a first portion of a proximal slot and a first portion of a distal slot, while the second carriage defines second portions of the proximal and distal slots. A controller executes a sterile connection procedure in which a solid cutting blade is heated, followed by the heated blade being moved to a cutting position to cut sealed proximal and distal tubes received by the slots. The second carriage moves proximally or distally with respect to the first carriage so as to align the cut ends of the tubes. The heated blade then moves out of the cutting position, followed by the first carriage moving toward the second carriage so as to press the cut ends of the tubes into contact with each other so as to sterilely connect the cut ends and define a joined tube.
DEVICE FOR WELDING TUBES
A device for welding thermoplastic tubes to a welding method, and to a welding knife. The device is provided for welding thermoplastic tubes, wherein the tubes are placed into tube holders and squeezed with the aid of tube clamps. A welding knife is moved between the first and the second tube holder and severs the tubes in the process. Cut ends and residual ends are thereby produced. The cut ends are aligned with one another by a relative movement of one tube holder with respect to the other tube holder and, by a horizontal movement of the two tube holders, are welded simultaneously to form continuous tubes.
Tube Seal and Cut Device
A tube seal apparatus including a sealing iron having a tube sealing end, an insulating shroud having a tube clamping end, wherein the sealing iron is at least partially disposed within the insulating shroud. The apparatus further includes an anvil having a cutting detail and a non-stick membrane disposed between the anvil and the tube clamping end of the insulating shroud. The sealing iron and insulating shroud are configured to advance towards a tube to be sealed positioned between the non-stick membrane and the anvil. The tube clamping end is configured to clamp the tube through the non-stick membrane. The sealing iron is configured to advance towards the tube to melt and seal the tube against the cutting detail through the non-stick membrane.
Control Circuitry Comprising an Adjustable Capacitor
A control circuitry (11) comprises an adjustable capacitor (C1), and a bias source (111) configured to apply a bias voltage (V2) to said adjustable capacitor (C1) to adjust a capacitance value of the adjustable capacitor (C1). Such a control circuitry may for example be part of a sealing device (1) to seal a medical tubing (2), the sealing device (1) comprising a receptacle (100) to receive said medical tubing (2), the receptacle (100) comprising an electrode arrangement for causing a heat action on the tubing (2).
