In some embodiments, the rotary-type machine (M) comprises at least one welding station (S) composed of a sonotrode (5) being located stationary at least relative to the direction of circulation (8) and anvils (6) which with intermediate spacings (7) rotate past said sonotrode (5) successively in the direction of circulation (8) of the carousel (1). According to the invention, the foil bags (B) are sealed at the stationary sonotrode (5) when the anvils (6) equipped with the foil bags (B) are rotated past.
ULTRASONIC MACHINE TOOL
An ultrasonic machine tool comprises a stand that can be attached to a base plate. The machine furthermore has a vibration generator by means of which a working member can be driven, wherein the vibration generator is borne by a slide displaceably guided in the longitudinal direction of the stand. The slide is in turn borne by a linear drive attached to the stand. The vibration generator is located in the alignment of the adjustment path of the linear drive.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS USING MULTIPLE SYNCHRONIZED ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCERS TO FINISH A PART
An ultrasonic systems and methods for sealing complex interfaces or for metal forming. Complex interfaces, such as a Gable top, have multiple and a variety of layers across the interface, or an oval or round spout having a complex geometry. An example system includes two ultrasonic horns arranged opposite a gap between which the interface is provided. The frequency and phase of the ultrasonic energy are synchronized as the energy is applied simultaneously while the interface is pressed between a jaw and the energy is applied to both sides of the interface. Another example system includes two ultrasonic transducers synchronized in frequency and phase and used to vibrate a horn mechanically to facilitate a sealing or welding interface or to assist in a metal-forming process.
BAG SEALING APPARATUS AND BAG SEALING METHOD
A vibration measurement device measures vibration of at least one of the first sealing member and the second sealing member. A determination device determines quality of the sealing process according to a measurement result of the vibration measurement device from before the first sealing member and the second sealing member reach the closed position to after the first sealing member and the second sealing member reach the closed position. The sealing drive unit causes relative movement between the first sealing member and the second sealing member from an open position at a moving speed determined according to a type of the bag, to place the first sealing member and the second sealing member in the closed position.
Anchoring in a lightweight building element
A method of anchoring a connector in a heterogeneous first object that includes a first building layer and, distally of the first building layer, an interlining layer. The method includes providing the first object and the connector, which includes thermoplastic material in a solid state; contacting the connector with the first building layer; applying a first mechanical pressing force to the connector until the first building layer is pierced by the connector and a distal portion of the connector reaches into the interlining layer; applying a second mechanical pressing force and mechanical vibration to the connector until a flow portion of the thermoplastic material is flowable and penetrates structures of the first object, and a distally facing abutment face of the head portion abuts against the metal profile in a region next to the opening; and letting the thermoplastic material resolidify to yield a positive-fit connection.
Ultrasonic vibration unit with damping
The present invention concerns an ultrasonic vibration unit having a converter (1) for converting an electric ac voltage into a mechanical ultrasonic vibration and a sonotrode which is vibrationally coupled to the converter (1), wherein the sonotrode and the converter (1) are matched to each other in such a way that the ultrasonic vibration unit can vibrate with a natural frequency f, in which a standing longitudinal wave having at least one vibration node and at least two vibration antinodes is formed within the ultrasonic vibration unit. To provide an ultrasonic vibration unit in which the parasitic vibrations which usually occur in operation with a working frequency are slight or do not occur, wherein at the same time the actual working frequency is not attenuated, it is proposed according to the invention that there is provided a damp vibration absorber unit (2) connected to the ultrasonic vibration unit by way of a coupling element (3), wherein the coupling element (3) is connected to the ultrasonic vibration unit at a vibration node, wherein the vibration absorber unit (2) is connected to a damping element (4) which is so adapted that it damps a vibration of the vibration absorber unit (2).
Bag sealing apparatus and bag sealing method
