STONE SLABS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
This document describes systems and processes for forming stone slabs, which may be suitable for use in living or working spaces (e.g., along a countertop, table, floor, shower surrounds, tiles, or the like). In some embodiments, the stone slabs may be processed by partially filling a mold with a particulate mineral mix, and preparing a top surface of the particulate mineral mix to received one or more additional materials.
Method for manufacturing an engineered stone and an engineered stone
A method for manufacturing an engineered stone, the method including: providing a mixture comprising at least a stone or stone like material and a binder; compacting the mixture; curing the binder; and further comprising printing a printed pattern on at least a top surface of the engineered stone.
Artificial stone slab and methods for manufacturing thereof
The present invention discloses an artificial stone slab, wherein the raw materials are mixed, pressed, and solidified, and the raw material comprises a main material and an auxiliary material. The main material, according to the total weight ratio of raw materials, comprises from about 20% to about 85% of particles containing hydroxide or metal oxide, from about 0% to about 50% of natural quartz, and from about 5% to about 25% of resin. The auxiliary material comprises a coupling agent and a curing agent, wherein the weight ratio of the coupling agent to the resin is from about 0.6:100 to about 2:100, and the weight ratio of the curing agent to the resin is from about 0.8:100 to about 1.2:100. The present invention also provides methods for manufacturing the aforesaid artificial stone slab. The present invention replaces natural quartz particles with particles containing hydroxide or metal oxide and ensures that the performance of the slab is up to standard, that the quality is more stable and easier to control, the decorative results are better, and finally, the mining of natural quartz is reduced by 10 times, achieving the objectives of greater environmental protection and lower costs. The resulting slab provides stable performance with good decorative results and thus saves resources and is conducive to environmental protection.
PROCEDURE AND SYSTEM FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SLABS MADE OF MINERAL GRITS BOUND WITH RESINS
A procedure for the production of slabs made of mineral grits bound with resins comprises at least the phases of supplying one basic mixture including mineral grits and resins; dispensing the basic mixture over a molding support so as to obtain a slab to be compacted provided with an exposed surface facing upwards and a laying surface facing downwards; compacting the slab to be compacted to obtain a compacted slab; and hardening the compacted slab to obtain a slab made of mineral grits; at least one decoration with ink by digital printing of at least the basic mixture carried out prior to the compaction, wherein the decoration phase includes at least one phase of pre-decoration by digital printing which is carried out prior to the dispensing and at least one phase of post-decoration by digital printing which is carried out after the dispensing.
PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SLABS MADE OF MINERAL GRITS BOUND WITH RESINS
A process for the production of slabs made of mineral grits bound with resins comprises at least the phases of supplying a basic mixture that includes mineral grits and resins; loading the basic mixture inside at least one forming mold so as to obtain a laying surface facing downwards and an exposed surface facing upwards; compacting the basic mixture inside the forming mold to obtain a compacted slab; and hardening the compacted slab to obtain a slab made of mineral grits, wherein, after the compacting, a decoration phase with ink by digital printing of said exposed surface of said compacted slab is provided.
METALLIC STONE SLABS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Stone slabs, and systems and methods of forming slabs, are described. Some example slabs include a first pattern defined by a first particulate mineral mix and a second pattern defined by a second particulate mineral mix different from the first particulate mineral mix. The first particulate mix includes greater than 50 weight percent of first metallic particles.
TEXTURED STONE SLABS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Stone slabs, and systems and methods of forming slabs, are described. Some example slabs include a first pattern defined by a first particulate mineral mix and a second pattern defined by a second particulate mineral mix different from the first particulate mineral mix. Locations of the first pattern have a first average thickness perpendicular to the slab width and the slab length, and locations of the second pattern have a second average thickness perpendicular to the slab width and the slab length that is different from the first average thickness.
Process for the production of an article for the cladding of floors or walls
A process for the production of an article for the cladding of floors or walls, comprising the steps of, in a mold: a) optionally applying a gel coat layer, based on a first curing polymer resin, on the inside of the mold in order to obtain a coated mold, and b) introducing into the core of the mold or into the core of the coated mold from step a) a filling composition which is based on a second curing polymer resin supplemented with at least one mineral filler, wherein core contains at least 5% wt and at most 20% wt of curing polymer resin, relative to the dry amount of filling composition, and the filling composition contains only one single initiator in a concentration of 0.5% wt to 5.0% wt relative to the amount of curing polymer resin in the filling composition.

Polymer Masonry Unit and Method Therefor
A polymer-based compound, useful as a polymer masonry unit is disclosed that can include a polymer added to a quarry byproduct to manufacture a quality brick unit. The present disclosure solves the technological problem of providing a structurally sound brick or concrete alternative without the need for kiln firing, using traditionally unusable waste material. By combining quarry byproduct and a polymer, a polymer masonry unit can be fabricated having compressive strength and architectural utility. In one exemplary embodiment, fiber elements can be added to the byproduct and polymer mixture to increase structural stability. The present disclosure improves the performance of the system itself by providing a basic block or brick unit using an environmentally responsible manufacturing process that reduces cost and waste. The manufacturing process includes a polymer/base material that can be poured into molds that cures over a predetermined period, without the need for kiln firing.
