FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE DEVICE AND FORMING METHOD
A preformed material for use in fiber-reinforced composite materials, the preformed material including one or more fiber rovings including parallel fibers wherein the fiber rovings include one or more folds in a direction parallel to the direction of the fibers and wherein the unfolded width of the fiber rovings have a width included in a range from 0.3 mm to 5 mm. The fiber density by volume may be included in a range from 10% to 75% of fibers. The thickness of a fiber roving may be included in a range from 50 .Math.m to 2 mm. The fiber rovings may include from 500 to 12000 fibers. The fiber rovings may include a thermoplastic polymer that forms a first bond within the one or more folds and a second bond between a first fiber roving and a second adjacent fiber roving.
COMPOSITE STRUCTURE MANUFACTURING METHOD AND COMPOSITE STRUCTURE MANUFACTURING DEVICE
A composite structure manufacturing method comprising: a lamination step in which a plurality of fiber-reinforced resin sheets are laminated to form a plate-shaped laminate; a pressing deformation step in which a third roller or similar, which rolls along a plate surface of the laminate, is used to press the plate surface of the laminate, thereby forming a recessed section or a protruding section in a prescribed section of the laminate; a short direction deformation step in which, after the pressing deformation step, the laminate is deformed in the short direction to make the long direction cross-section into a prescribed shape; and a long direction deformation step in which, after the pressing deformation step, the laminate is deformed in the long direction to make the short direction cross-section into a prescribed shape.
FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND BONDED BODY
A fiber-reinforced composite material includes a matrix resin, and reinforcing fibers, in which the matrix resin includes a polyaryl ketone resin and a resin having a nitrogen atom in a repeating structural unit. A surface of the fiber-reinforced composite material includes a portion in which a contact angle with water is 60° or less.
PREPEG
Provided is a prepreg including: a fiber layer containing unidirectionally arranged carbon fibers impregnated with a first thermosetting resin; and a resin layer disposed on at least one side of the fiber layer and containing a second thermosetting resin and a thermoplastic resin that is insoluble in the second thermosetting resin. The prepreg is configured such that the areal weight of fibers and the weight fraction of resin in the prepreg are 120 to 300 g/m.sup.2 and 25 to 50 mass %, respectively, and in the case where a plurality of prepregs are laid up, and the coefficient of interlayer friction is measured every 10° C. in a temperature range of 40 to 100° C. at a pull-out speed of 0.2 mm/min under a perpendicular stress of 0.8 bar, the temperature at which the coefficient of interlayer friction is 0.02 or less is present within a temperature range of 40 to 100° C. The prepreg exhibits high impact strength when formed into a fiber-reinforced plastic suitable for an aircraft structural member, and the prepreg also has excellent drapeability when a prepreg laminate is made to conform to a three dimensional shape.
Production method for prepreg, prepreg tape, and fiber reinforced composite material, and coating device
A method of producing a prepreg is described, in which a matrix resin is applied to a reinforcing fiber sheet in which the sheet can continuously run without clogging due to generated fuzz even at a high running speed and where the reinforcing fiber sheet can be efficiently impregnated with the matrix resin. A method of producing a prepreg includes allowing a reinforcing fiber sheet to pass substantially vertically downward through the inside of a coating section storing a matrix resin to apply the matrix resin to the reinforcing fiber sheet; and then applying a resin film to a primary impregnate prepreg withdrawn from the coating section.

FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN HOLLOW MOLDED BODY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A fiber reinforced resin hollow molded body 30 in which a resin-integrated fiber sheet is used. The resin-integrated fiber sheet includes unidirectional continuous fibers that are spread fibers of a continuous fiber group and arrayed unidirectionally in parallel, and thermoplastic resin that is present at least on a surface of the unidirectional continuous fibers. In the hollow molded body, in a state where the resin-integrated fiber sheet or a plurality of the resin-integrated fiber sheets 30 are stacked, the resin-integrated fiber sheet or the plurality of resin-integrated fiber sheets are wound to produce a wound body having an overlapping portion. The thermoplastic resin is impregnated in the unidirectional continuous fibers. The resin-integrated fiber sheet or the plurality of resin-integrated fiber sheets are consolidated.
