Provided is a method for manufacturing a fiber reinforced resin molded article capable of distributing the pressure without concentration on the vicinity of the resin inlet and so preventing the deformation of a preform, and such a manufacturing device thereof. The method lowers a lower core as a moving core in a lower mold (first mold) (away from a preform) to let resin flow toward the lower mold (first mold). This distributes the pressure concentrated in the vicinity of the resin inlet and prevents deformation of the preform.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TANK AND MANUFACTURING DEVICE THEREOF

Provided is a method for manufacturing a tank and a manufacturing device thereof that can achieve resin impregnation within a short time. The method wraps fibers in an overlapping manner in a radial direction around an outer surface of a liner such that a first fiber layer (braiding layer) on an outer surface of a dome portion is less dense than a second fiber layer (helical layer) on an outer surface of a straight body portion and such that a portion of a lamina of the first fiber layer, which is less dense, is interposed continuously from the first fiber layer partially between laminae of the second fiber layer, and then impregnates the fiber layer including the first fiber layer and the second fiber layer with a resin.

Multi-Layer Pre-Fabricated Covering Device

A covering device for a component space in a tool for producing fiber composite components is a multi-layer pre-fabricated material cloth provided with a gas-permeable, matrix material-impermeable membrane. A gas-impermeable, matrix material-impermeable film is provided. Membrane and film are connected at their circumferential rims to delimit an evacuation space with a flow aid and closed by a matrix material-tight connection. Gas having passed from the component space through the membrane into the evacuation space is evacuated through an opening of the film away from the component space. A contact element arranged at a side of the film facing away from the evacuation space surrounds the opening of the film. It is connected matrix material-tightly to the film. The contact element has a contact surface at a side facing away from the film for attaching the covering device to an inner side of a tool wall delimiting the component space.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A WIND TURBINE BLADE AND MOLD FOR MANUFACTURING A WIND TURBINE BLADE

A method for manufacturing a wind turbine blade including: arranging an upper mold on a lower wherein a dry fiber lay-up is arranged in the upper mold or in the upper mold and the lower mold, applying vacuum to a space between the upper and lower molds, and infusing the dry fiber lay-up in the upper and/or lower molds with resin through at least one upper resin inlet arranged at an upper portion of the upper mold. Having the at least one upper resin inlet of the upper mold improves the vacuum-assisted resin infusion. Resin provided through the at least one upper resin inlet has to be raised by a smaller height to reach the top of the mold. A resin flow of the resin provided through the at least one upper resin inlet is supported in a downward direction by the gravitational force.

Resin infusing a composite preform includes placing a first vacuum bagging film over a tool surface and the composite preform to define a sealed first chamber. A bridge structure has an underside defining a cavity above the first vacuum bagging film. A second vacuum bagging film is placed over the first vacuum bagging film and the bridge structure to define a sealed second chamber. At least partial vacuum pressure is applied to the first chamber to drive resin from a resin supply through the first chamber, infusing the composite preform with resin. Partial vacuum pressure is applied inside the second chamber and an exterior pressure is applied outside the second vacuum bagging film while. The exterior pressure exceeds the pressure applied to the first and second chambers, thereby compacting the composite preform outside of a region, with the bridge supporting the second vacuum bagging film against the exterior pressure.
