Continuous encapsulated linear lighting produced in segments
11592171 · 2023-02-28 · ·

A method for making continuous encapsulated linear lighting is disclosed. In this method, a PCB is placed within a channel, and the channel is dammed by one or more stoppers. The dammed segment is filled and then caused or allowed to cure. The stoppers are then removed from their initial positions and moved along the channel. If one runs out of channel before the desired length of linear lighting is achieved, a second piece of channel is abutted to the previous segment of channel, the PCB is laid into it, and a segment is dammed, filled, and cured. The process continues iteratively until the desired length is achieved or more channel is required. The PCB may initially be cut to the full desired length and applied to the channel piecewise as needed.

Method of manufacturing a wind turbine blade

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a wind turbine blade, comprising arranging one or more layers of fibre material and a preform in a mould (66), injecting the one or more layers of fibre material and the preform (76) with a curable resin, and curing the resin. The preform (76) is impregnated with a curing promoter such that the concentration of curing promoter varies spatially within the preform.

A landing gear system includes a composite tube. The composite tube comprises at least one of (i) a filament wound composite tube, (ii) a filament braided tube, and (iii) a composite tube of laid up filament. The landing gear system further comprises a first lug cluster mounted to the composite tube and a second lug cluster mounted to the composite tube. The first lug cluster and the second lug cluster are oriented at an angle to one another.

MOLD, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING METAL-RESIN COMPOSITE

A mold for producing a metal-resin composite by press-forming a metal member and integrally molding the metal member that is press-formed and a resin material includes an upper mold and a lower mold that sandwich the metal member and the resin material. The upper mold includes a first press surface for press-forming the metal member and a second press surface for integrally molding the metal member and the resin material. A distance between the first press surface and the lower mold is shorter than a distance between the second press surface and the lower mold.

Methods of manufacturing composite sandwich components (100) and composite sandwich components overcome drawbacks in the prior art. For example, the large number of resin filled perforations that are unavoidable when manufacturing prior art composite sandwich components is avoided.

SKIN-BONDED THREADED INSERTS, SANDWICH PANELS INCLUDING THE SAME, AND RELATED METHODS

Skin-bonded threaded inserts may be installed within a sandwich panel by curing the insert in place as the sandwich panel is cured. Skin-bonded threaded inserts may include a collar that is transitioned between a raised position and a compressed position during installation of the skin-bonded threaded insert in the sandwich panel, due to compression of the sandwich panel during curing. Skin-bonded threaded inserts may include one or more flanges that engage one or more skins of the sandwich panel. Such flanges may be positioned between two skins, or between the core and a skin of the sandwich panel to secure the sandwich panel in place within the sandwich panel. Skin-bonded threaded inserts may be positioned within a sandwich panel without the use of potting compound and may engage with the skins of the sandwich panel, rather than relying on adherence to the core for sufficient pull-out and shear strength.

Cross-linked pex forming after assembly

A tube assembly including a cross-linked polyethylene tube having a radial projection and a coupler, and a method for forming the tube assembly. A forming assembly is configured to dispose the radial projection of the cross-linked polyethylene tube through the coupler after the completion of the cross-linking process.

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a blade shell member for a wind turbine blade. The method comprising providing a blade mould for the blade shell member and arranging a number of fibre-reinforced layers on a blade moulding surface of the blade mould. A first primer layer is applied on top of the fibre-reinforced layers, at a pre-determined spar cap region. Furthermore, a pre-manufactured spar cap having an upper surface, a lower surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, a first end surface and a second end surface is arranged in the pre-manufactured spar cap on the spar cap region, such that the lower surface of the pre-manufactured spar cap contacts the first primer layer arranged on the spar cap region. A second primer layer is also applied to the upper surface of the pre-manufactured spar cap before the step of infusing the blade moulding cavity with resin and curing it. The present invention further relates to a method of manufacturing a wind turbine blade, comprising the steps of manufacturing a pressure side shell half and a suction side shell half over substantially the entire length of the wind turbine blade and subsequently closing and joining the shell halves for obtaining a closed shell.
