Tire Cold Retreading Method
A method for the cold retreading of a tyre (1) comprising the following steps: a removal step, during which the old, worn tread is removed from the tyre in order to expose an equatorial surface (2) of a casing (3) of the tyre (1); a deposition step, during which a cushion (4) and a pre-cured tread strip (6) provided with a tread pattern are deposited around the equatorial surface (2) of the casing (3); and a curing step, during which the cushion (4) arranged between the casing (3) and the pre-cured tread strip (6) is cured. The cushion (4) is manufactured with a compound comprising 1 to 30 phr of at least one conductive material chosen among graphite, graphene and a carbon black having a surface area which is greater than or equal to 300 m.sup.2/gr. The curing step comprises a connection step, during which said cushion (4) is connected to a heat or power source (S).
Method for retreading a tire using a dual heating effect
The method includes the step of passing an electric current through at least one wire that is situated between a carcass of a tire casing and a tread. The method also includes the step of calculating a value of a temperature of the wire as a function of a relative value of the current. The method proceeds with the step of controlling the current as a function of the temperature value calculated.
Tire with Tread Pattern and Casing Cooperation
A tire may be re-treaded utilizing a process in which a worn tread is removed from a casing. The worn tread had a first tread pattern. The casing has a tire body encapsulating at least one reinforcing belt, the at least one reinforcing belt embedded circumferentially in the tire body, the at least one reinforcing belt having lateral edges. The first tread pattern comprises a first plurality of universal bands of raised portions, where the first plurality of universal bands were situated over the lateral edges of the at least one belt. A new tread having a second tread pattern different from the first tread pattern is molded to the first casing. The second tread pattern comprises a second plurality of universal bands of raised portions that are situated in the same lateral locations as the first plurality of universal bands.
Tire cold retreading method
A method for the cold retreading of a tire comprising the following steps: a removal step, during which the tread is removed from the tire in order to expose an equatorial surface of a casing of the tire; a deposition step, during which a cushion and a pre-cured tread strip provided with a tread pattern are deposited around the equatorial surface of the casing; and a curing step, wherein the cushion arranged between the casing and the pre-cured tread strip is cured. The cushion is manufactured with a compound comprising 1 to 30 phr of at least one conductive material having a specific surface area which is greater than or equal to 300 m.sup.2/g and is chosen among graphite and graphene. The curing step comprises a connection step, wherein said cushion is connected to a heat/power source.
Method for retreading a vehicle tire casing and vehicle casing obtained by this method
In the method for retreading a vehicle tire casing, a fluid is injected into a casing between a tread and a tread backing in order to space them apart.
Method for retreading a tire casing comprising a step of inductive heating
A method for retreading a wheel tire casing: a wheel tire casing is induction heated so as to soften a thermally malleable layer located between a tread of the casing and a carcass of the casing, the tread is removed from the carcass, and another tread is applied to the carcass.
Method and system for manufacturing a tyre tread with lugs
A method and system for manufacturing a tire tread with lugs, the tread having a tread base, and a number of lugs projecting upwards from the tread base; the method having the steps of: preparing a green-rubber blank tread of constant thickness; applying rubber blocks to the areas of the blank tread where the lugs are to be formed, each block varying lengthwise in cross section, so it is thinner at the center and thicker at the side; and curing the blank tread, together with the blocks, in a curing mold negatively reproducing the pattern of the tread.
METHOD FOR MOLDING AN ELASTOMER THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITE FOR A TIRE
A process for molding a tire elastomeric thermoplastic composite comprises a stage in which a layer of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) is applied against one of the faces of the composite, followed by a molding stage for vulcanization of the composite and crosslinking of the layer of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) with the neighboring layer of rubber material. The process furthermore comprises a stage consisting in applying a nonstick protective layer (12) against the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) face intended to be in contact with the mold.
