Tire mold and pneumatic tire
A tire mold comprises sector molds for forming a tread portion of a tire and mold pins provided on the sector molds for forming insertion holes in the tread portion. The insertion holes each comprise a first hole portion with a first inner diameter where a body portion of a stud pin is disposed and a second hole portion with a second inner diameter greater than the first inner diameter where a bottom flange portion of the stud pin is disposed. The mold pins each comprise a trunk portion with a first outer diameter for forming the first hole portion and a tip portion with a second outer diameter greater than the first outer diameter for forming the second hole portion.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING A VEHICLE TYRE WITH STUDS, AND A STUDDED TYRE FOR A VEHICLE
A method for installing a stud in a tyre. The method includes identifying a stud hole for the stud in the tyre; imaging the vicinity of at least the stud hole, whereby information is received about the pattern in the vicinity of the stud hole, and using the received information to determine [i] the stud type suitable for the stud suitable in the stud hole and/or [ii] the suitable stud orientation of the stud suitable in the stud hole. The method includes providing a stud and installing it in a stud hole. The stud type of the stud is the same as the suitable stud type of a stud suitable in the stud hole; and/or the stud is installed in the stud hole in such a way that the main direction of the stud is parallel with the suitable stud orientation. Further a tyre studded by the method.
Method for manufacturing a tire with obliquely reinforced tread blocks
A method for manufacturing a tread (5) based on uncured rubber material comprises the steps of forming a green form (9) of tread based on uncured rubber material having at least one tread pattern (2) block (3), each tread pattern (2) block (3) having a central portion (11) and at least one lateral portion (12) extending along the central portion (11), of mounting at least one reinforcing ply (7) on at least a part of the central portion (11), and of covering the central part (11) with the aid of the lateral portion (12) in order that the tread pattern (2) block (3) envelops the reinforcing ply (7).
PNEUMATIC TIRE AND TIRE MOLDING MOLD
A pneumatic tire includes sipes disposed in a land portion formed in a tread portion, and pin holes for stud pins disposed in the land portion. The sipes are disposed at positions where a distance Ds from the pin hole and a diameter Dp of the pin hole satisfy (Ds/Dp)≥4.0. A sipe in which the distance Ds from the pin hole and the diameter Dp of the pin hole satisfy (Ds/Dp)≤5.0 is defined as a pin hole neighboring sipe. A sipe of which the distance Ds from the pin hole is the smallest, among the sipes in which the distance Ds from the pin hole and the diameter Dp of the pin hole satisfy (Ds/Dp)>5.0, is defined as a normal sipe. The pin hole neighboring sipe is formed in a high rigidity shape having higher rigidity than the normal sipe.
Method for arranging stud pins in pneumatic tire
A method for arranging stud pins in a pneumatic tire is a method for arranging stud pins in a tread portion at intervals in a tire width direction so as to form a plurality of rows. This method includes specifying an inner region, an intermediate region, and an outer region by virtually partitioning the tread portion into equal three parts from a center line extending in a tire circumferential direction to a ground contact end in the tire width direction outward. The method also includes arranging the stud pins such that among numbers of stud pins per row in the inner region, the intermediate region, and the outer region, the number in the outer region is the largest, the number in the intermediate region is the second largest, the number in intermediate region is the smallest.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TIRE WITH OBLIQUELY REINFORCED TREAD BLOCKS
A method for manufacturing a tread (5) based on uncured rubber material, comprises the steps of forming a green form (9) of tread based on uncured rubber material having at least one tread pattern (2) block (3), each tread pattern (2) block (3) having a central portion (11) and at least one lateral portion (12) extending along the central portion (11), of mounting at least one reinforcing ply (7) on at least a part of the central portion (11), and of covering the central part (11) with the aid of the lateral portion (12) in order that the tread pattern (2) block (3) envelops the reinforcing ply (7).

All season safety tire
A vehicle tire includes a selectively actuated stud deployment system for increased traction. The studs are contained in cells in the surface of the tire and forced to deploy by pneumatic or fluid pressure. When the pressure is released, the studs retract.
