Lightweight plastic container and preform
A plastic container includes a hollow body portion including a lower supporting base portion; a sidewall portion extending upwardly from the base portion; and a neck portion extending upwardly from the sidewall portion. The neck portion includes a support flange having an upper and lower surface, at least one thread, and a dispensing opening at the top of the neck portion. In embodiments, a closure may be provided to form an assembly. A preform and method for making a container are also disclosed.
Thermoplastic mat, process for the manufacture thereof and uses of same
The present invention relates to a stable mat (10) based on thermoplastic materials, comprising a core of compacted plastics (14), the cohesion of which is provided by spot thermal fusion (18) in the core of the mass, and a skin obtained by surface thermal fusion and/or a thermoplastic shell (12) firmly attached to the core by localized thermal fusion. Such a mat may serve as bases for civil engineering constructions, for the distribution of loads in the case of loose, unstable, or marshy soils, the stabilization of embankments or of unstable soils, earthquake-resistant protection of foundations of structures and composition of absorbent ballasts of railroads. They may also be used for the manufacture of prefabricated road elements.
Washable, waterproof, sealable and reusable soft gusseted volumized storage bags
Disclosed are embodiments of a volume control storage bag and methods of making same. The volume control storage bag may have first and second sidewalls, a double-locking closure mechanism with a first closure element extending along the first sidewall and a second closure element extending along the second sidewall, each closure element having a channel and an elongated member configured for interlocking with one another. A gusset is sealed along three sides of the first and second sidewalls, leaving an opening through the closure mechanism and defining an interior space having a specific volume. Corner seals may be formed at the corners of the first and second sidewalls, further reinforcing the double-locking closure mechanism for an airtight and hence waterproof seal. The volume control storage bag may be made of a food-grade polyethylene vinyl acetate blend, approximately 90% or less ethylene vinyl acetate and approximately 10% or less polyethylene.
Reducing surface and bulk contamination in plastic
The present invention generally relates to a method of reducing contamination from plastics. The resulting purer plastic can be used in demanding applications.
Method for reclaiming thermoplastic materials intended for recycling
Presented and described is a method for reclaiming thermoplastic materials intended for recycling, such as, for example, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), in the form of flakes. According to the invention, in a first step, the flakes are exposed to an oxidative fluid and heat until contaminated flakes are modified such that, in a second step, they are separated from the remaining flakes as a result of this modification.
Biaxially oriented polyester film and manufacturing method thereof
A biaxially oriented polyester film having the following physical property is provided: when cooled from the molten state at a cooling rate of 20° C./min, an observed recrystallization temperature is 175° C.-200° C. The biaxially oriented polyester film is formed by a thick sheet before bidirectional stretching that is melted and extruded by an extruder and then cooled and formed on a casting roll. The thick sheet before stretching having the following physical property as analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry: a crystallization rate is less than 10%.
Lightweight plastic container and preform
A plastic preform includes a hollow body portion including a closed base portion and a lower portion and a lower portion extending upwardly from the closed bottom portion; and a neck portion extending upwardly from the lower portion. The neck portion includes a dispensing opening positioned at a top of the neck portion, threads positioned below the dispensing opening, a tamper-evident formation having a lower surface and positioned directly below the threads, and a support flange having an upper surface and a lower surface and positioned below the tamper-evident formation. In an embodiment, the plastic preform is formed of a material comprising polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and a vertical distance from the lower surface of the tamper-evident formation to the lower surface of the support flange is from 0.125 to 0.150 inches. Containers and methods for molding preforms and making containers are also disclosed.
Injection machine for recycled plastic injection molding system
The present disclosure provides an injection machine for a recycled plastic injection molding system. The injection machine comprises a supplying system configured to drive plastics from an entry end to downstream of receiving route, a heating system disposed to downstream of the supplying system and configured to melt plastics and drive plastics to the downstream of receiving route, and a buffer system disposed to downstream of the heating system and configured to be a receiving state and a supplying state. When the buffer system is in the receiving state, the buffer system is configured to receiving plastics from the heating system. When the buffer system is in the supplying state, the buffer system is configured to drive plastics to downstream of the receiving route.
Soap bar molding device
A soap bar molding device for molding recycled soap bars includes a housing having a top surface and a bottom surface. Additionally, the housing has a front surface, a back surface, and an interior. A bottom plate is positioned on the top surface of the house and protruding inward therefrom. The bottom plate holds a plurality of soap pieces. An interior surface of a cover is positioned upon the top surface of the housing. A top plate is positioned on the interior surface of the cover. An exterior surface of the cover has a dish defining a space to hold a bar of soap. A power source is positioned within the interior of the housing. A button is positioned on the front surface of the housing and provides electric current from the power source to the bottom plate and the top plate wherein the bottom and top plates generate heat.
