Apparatus and method for making inflated articles
A sealing device generally includes a rotatable support cylinder having an outer, circumferential surface and a heating element disposed about such surface and secured thereto such that the heating element rotates therewith. The heating element is coiled about the outer surface of the cylinder in the form of an overlapping helical pattern. Juxtaposed film plies may be sealed together by bringing the sealing device into rotational contact with the juxtaposed film plies and heating the heating element to a temperature sufficient to cause the film plies to seal together.

Inflatable bladders for use in footwear and other articles of manufacture
The present invention is a method for manufacturing inflatable bladders for use in articles of manufacture. The method includes the steps of providing a first polymer film, applying a curable release coating to the polymer film in a pattern that corresponds to the configuration of the inflatable bladder, curing the release coating to the first polymer film, providing a second polymer film with the first polymer film to form a layered element such that the release coating is disposed between the polymer films, positioning the layered element between two plies of material, applying heat and pressure to adhere the polymer films together except in the area where the release coating has been applied to form an inflatable compartment surrounded by a sealed perimeter, and removing the plies of material from the adhered first and second polymer films.

Multilayer Thermoplastic Film with Improved Puncture Resistance Performance
The present disclosure provides for a heat-shrinkable, biaxially stretched, multilayer thermoplastic film that includes at least a puncture resistant layer. The puncture resistant layer is formed with a polyethylene based plastomer having a density of 0.890 g/cm.sup.3to 0.910 g/cm.sup.3 as measured in accordance with ASTM D-792, and a melt index (MI) as measured by ASTM D-1238 at 190° C./2.16 kg from 0.20 g/10 minutes to 1.5 g/10 minutes. The polyethylene based plastomer has a log M.sub.25% of an upper 25% of a GPC quadrant having a value of 5.1 to 5.7, an intermediate molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 2.5 to 3, a Mz/Mw value of 2 to 2.5, a Comonomer Distribution Constant value from 60 to 400 and a single SCBD peak between 40-85° C. with a mass fraction of less than 3% above 85° C. as determined by CEF, and a ZSVR value from 1.0 to 5.5. The multilayer thermoplastic film is biaxially stretched at a temperature of 60° C. to 120° C. with a blow-up ratio from 2:1 to 10:1.
Packaging material and method for providing a packaging material
A packaging material having a core layer and inside and outside laminate portions is provided. The packaging material comprises a first area to form a first package, and a second area to form a second and adjacent package. The first area and the second area have a transversal sealing area between them, and the core layer is provided with at least one weakening portion at the transversal sealing area.

MULTILAYER FILM
A multilayer film includes a first skin layer, a second skin layer, and a core layer. The core layer includes at least two lanes of material. Each of the lanes of material of the core layer contacts each of the first skin layer and the second skin layer.
POLYETHYLENE POUCH AND THE FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure is concerned with a method of forming a seal with a polyethylene based film structure. The polyethylene based film structure has at least one layer formed with an oriented polyethylene having a predetermined melting temperature (T.sub.m). A conductive heat sealing device provides heat to form the seal, where a first sealing bar of the conductive heat sealing device operates at a first operating temperature of at least 10 degrees Celsius (° C.) below the T.sub.m of the oriented polyethylene in the polyethylene based film structure and a second sealing bar of the conductive heat sealing device operates at a second operating temperature of at least 15° C. higher than the operating temperature of the first sealing bar. The seal formed with the polyethylene based film structure retains at least 99 percent of its original surface area prior to forming the seal.
