Magnetic encoder manufacturing method
A magnetic encoder in which a support member and a plastic magnet do not adhere to each other is manufactured using a mold. The plastic magnet has a turning molded portion on the outer circumferential side thereof. The gate of the mold is an inner-diameter-side disk gate and a length L thereof in the axial direction is in a range of 0.2 mm≤L≤0.6 mm. The tensile strength of the material of the plastic magnet is 65 MPa or more and the Young's modulus thereof is 4000 MPa or more and 15000 MPa or less. The method includes a step of opening the mold and placing the support member as an insert object in the mold, and a step of closing the mold and injecting a melted material of the plastic magnet into a cavity through the disk gate.
Surface topography with ferromagnetic polymer pillars capable of movement in response to magnetic fields
An anti-fouling surface having micron scale pillars embedded with Fe.sub.3O.sub.4 nanoparticles is designed. The pillars may be repeatedly induced to move according to a predetermined frequency, such as one that mimic that of the beating movement of natural cilia, through the application of a magnetic field. When square-shaped pillars with a height of 10 μm, width of 2 μm, and inter-pattern distance of 5 μm actuated for three minutes, more than 99.9 percent of biofilm cells were detached and via gentle rinsing from the surface having the pillars. The anti-fouling surface enables effective prevention of biofilm formation and removal of established biofilms, and can be applied to a broad spectrum of polymers.
Rechargeable sealer with storage function
A rechargeable sealer with storage function includes a casing, an electric heating module, a circuit board, a supporting base, a press bar, a spring-back mechanism, and a sliding plate. The casing is provided with an accommodating chamber, in which are provided with a fore contact element and a rear contact element. A rechargeable battery is positioned in and between the fore contact element and the rear contact element. The circuit board, provided with an external slot, is disposed in the accommodating chamber, featured in charging the rechargeable battery. The press bar is provided with a sliding slot, and is pivotally connected with the pivoting shaft of the supporting base, served as a pressing structure corresponding to the casing.
MAGNETIC LOCKING RECLOSURE FOR PACKAGES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
A resealable package, the resealable package comprising a polymeric substrate, the polymeric substrate comprising a first side panel, a second side panel, a closed bottom and an opening, the opening comprising a first side region and a second side region and the first side region and the second side region comprise a magnetizable composition, the magnetizable composition comprises a thermoplastic polymer and magnetizable particles and the magnetizable composition is aligned and magnetized to form a first magnet along the first side region and a second magnet along the second side region. The first magnet comprises a plurality of poles having a first leading edge comprising a first pole and the second magnet comprises a plurality of poles having a second leading edge comprising a second pole that is opposite to the first pole.
PLASTIC MOLDED PART AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A method for production of a molded part made of plastic by rotational molding includes placing a starting material in a form of at least one of a plastic or a plastic precursor into a rotational melt mold that is fitted with at least one magnetic element. The rotational melt mold is rotated and, while the rotational melt mold is rotating, the starting material is shaped. The at least one magnetic element rotates together with the rotational melt mold while the starting material is being shaped. The starting material and the at least one magnetic element are configured in such a way that the starting material and the at least one magnetic element interact magnetically such that a portion of the starting material is attracted and held in place by the at least one magnetic element while the starting material is being shaped.
REMOVABLE FLUID BARRIER
A removable fluid barrier comprises a generally planar flexible body fabricated of at least one resilient material and encapsulating a plurality of permanent magnets. The flexible body has an outer face defining a sealing surface of the removable fluid barrier.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A RUBBER COMPONENT
The invention relates to a method for producing a rubber component (1), in the case of which at least one electronic assembly (2) is embedded between a lower and an upper ply (10, 11) of a rubber material, comprising the steps: a) providing a length portion of the lower ply (10) of the rubber material, which is equipped, on the top side (100), with at least one electronic assembly (2); b) stationarily positioning the length portion of the lower ply (10); c) unrolling a length portion of the upper ply (11) of the rubber material on the top side (100) of the stationary length portion of the lower ply (10) in an unrolling direction (A), and fixedly adhesively connecting the length portions of the plies (10, 11) of the rubber material so as to embed the at least one electronic assembly (2); d) conveying out the length portion of the rubber component (1).
