Method for fabricating multiphenylethynyl-containing and lightly crosslinked polyimides capable of memorizing shapes and augmenting thermomechanical stability
The invention generally relates to shape memory films that are tri-functionally crosslinked and that comprise multiple, non-terminal, phenylethynyl moieties. In addition, the present invention relates methods of fabricating such films. Due to the improved properties of such SMPs, the SMP designer can program in to the SMP thermomechanical property enhancements that make the SMP suitable, among other things, for advanced sensors, high temperature actuators, responder matrix materials and heat responsive packaging.
Thermoplastic shape-stable polymer compositions for storing thermal energy
The invention provides shape-stable products for storing and releasing thermal energy, based on thermoplastic polymer compositions containing organic phase change materials (PCM) incorporated into a polymer matrix, the products withstanding multiple melting-crystallization cycles of the PCM while maintaining their shape, dimensions, and the thermal energy storage capacity.

Template, method for manufacturing template, and pattern formation method
According to one embodiment, a template includes a base body, and a first film. The base body has a first surface and a second surface. The first surface includes silicon oxide and spreads along a first plane. The second surface crosses the first plane. The first film includes aluminum oxide. A direction from the second surface toward the first film is aligned with a direction perpendicular to the second surface. A thickness of the first film along the direction perpendicular to the second surface is not less than 0.3 nm and not more than 10 μm. The first surface includes an unevenness.
METHOD FOR THE DEVULCANIZATION OF A VULCANIZED RUBBER MIXTURE, DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD AND USE OF THE DEVICE FOR THE DEVULCANIZATION OF A VULCANIZED RUBBER MIXTURE
The invention relates to a process for devulcanizing a vulcanized rubber mixture, comprising the following steps: A) providing or producing a vulcanized rubber mixture, B) comminuting the vulcanized rubber mixture to a granular material composed of vulcanized rubber particles, where the vulcanized rubber particles have a maximum particle diameter of 100 mm, C) extruding the vulcanized rubber particles produced in step B) in a twin-screw extruder at a shear rate of less than 100 s.sup.−1, where the temperature of the vulcanized rubber particles during extrusion is less than 200° C., to give a devulcanized rubber mixture having a temperature above 100° C., D) cooling the devulcanized rubber mixture in a further kneading unit, so as to give a devulcanized rubber mixture having a temperature in the range from 50° C. to 100° C. The invention further relates to an apparatus for performing the process and to the use of the apparatus for devulcanization of a vulcanized rubber mixture.
Seal member forming system and method
A system and method for forming a seal member onto a substrate from a material is disclosed. The system includes a mold comprising an ultraviolet transmissible material, the mold having a first portion and a second portion operatively coupled to the first portion, the first portion having a first cavity, a second cavity, and a channel extending from an outer surface of the mold to the second cavity. The first cavity has a first shape that is complementary to a first side of the substrate and the second cavity has a second shape that is complementary to the seal member. The system also includes an applicator in fluid communication with the channel, where the applicator is configured to provide the material to the second cavity through the channel, and an ultraviolet irradiation device configured to irradiate the mold with ultraviolet light to cure the material when the material is provided to the second cavity, such that the seal member is formed on the substrate.
PIPE FOR CONVEYING FLUIDS IN HVACR SYSTEMS
The present invention relates to a composite coating for an inner tube delimiting a passageway for a fluid for obtaining a pipe for conveying fluids in HVACR systems.
Method for in situ additive manufacturing of a coating on a turbomachine casing
A method of a coating by additive manufacturing on a turbomachine casing includes depositing on an internal surface of the turbomachine casing a filament of an abradable material to create a three-dimensional scaffold of filaments. A filamentary material deposition system is positioned from the internal surface of the casing; a first layer of the coating is deposited over 360′; a rotation of the filamentary material deposition system is carried out by a first predetermined angle and the filamentary material deposition system is positioned from the deposited layer; a second layer of coating is deposited on the first coating layer, on a sector of the casing; a displacement is carried out corresponding to the first sector already covered, then for the following sectors until 360° is covered; and after having carried out a rotation of the filamentary material deposition system.
