NONWOVENS FOR REINFORCING FOAM-MOLDED ARTICLE

[PROBLEM] An object is to provide a reinforcing nonwoven for a foam-molded article, which makes it possible to further improve a mold-setting-property of the reinforcing nonwoven, and makes it possible to foam-mold a seat efficiently. [SOLUTION] A nonwoven for reinforcing a foam-molded article, the nonwoven comprising: a reinforcing nonwoven layer, and a resin layer; wherein, the resin layer overlaps the reinforcing nonwoven layer, a resin for the resin layer has a softening point A of not lower than 20° C. and not higher than 60° C., and the nonwoven has an air permeability of not lower than 30 cc/cm.sup.2/sec and not higher than 300 cc/cm.sup.2/sec.

Method of forming a container using a liquid

A method of forming a container from a plastic preform while using a liquid as a blow medium. During the method, liquid is withdrawn from the container to reduce pressure within the container prior to disengaging of the injection head from the container. In one aspect the method involves the opening of a recirculation valve to reduce the pressure. The opening of the recirculation valve allowing air dispersed within the liquid to rise to the top of the container before disengaging of a forming head from the container. As a result, splashing and spillage of liquid from the neck of the container is eliminated when the forming head disengages from the container.

Laminate, molded article in which laminate is used, and method for manufacturing same

A method of manufacturing a molded article, which comprises: (a) a step of manufacturing the molded article by use of a laminate that has a first layer comprising polypropylene, and a second layer comprising one or more selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polyamide, an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL LATTICE AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME

A three-dimensional lattice includes a stabilizing grid having grid warp strands and grid weft strands crossing the grid warp strands. Grid cells are defined by adjacent grid warp strands and adjacent grid weft strands intersecting the adjacent grid warp strands. A projecting net has net warp strands and net weft strands crossing the net warp strands. Each subnet in a plurality of subnets uniquely corresponds to a corresponding grid cell. Each subnet includes a net warp strand portion intersecting both of the grid weft strands that define the corresponding grid cell. Each subnet includes a net weft strand portion intersecting both of the grid warp strands that define the corresponding grid cell. The net warp strand portion and the net weft strand portion of each subnet are spaced from a minimum surface defined by the corresponding grid cell.

REINFORCED COMPOSITE STRUCTURE AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

A reinforced composite structure and a method of making a reinforced composite structure are disclosed herein. The structure and methods disclosed herein include a reinforcing flexible material, a barrier layer, and a foam. The barrier layer can be perforated. The foam can pass through the barrier layer to contact and adhere or bond to the reinforcing flexible material. The structure and methods according to the disclosure are useful, for example, in any structural boat component such as stringers, bulkheads, hull and deck stiffeners, beams, fuel tank supports, structural members, long-span stiffeners, corner stiffeners, hull side-to-bottom strengthening, hatch and swim platform reinforcement, insulated compartments, fish boxes, and applications for flat-bed trailers, truck bodies, buses, recreational vehicles, or other types of vehicles, such as aircrafts.
