IMPRINTING METHOD USING A SOLVENT TO REMOVE A MOLD AND THE RELATED IMPRINTING SYSTEM
The present invention provides an imprinting method, which includes the steps of: adding a soluble material to a master mold; solidifying the soluble material to form a soluble mold having a mold pattern; adhering a taking device to the soluble mold to separate the soluble mold from the master mold; placing the soluble mold on a polymer layer of a workpiece for imprint; applying a high temperature and a pressure to the soluble mold to allow the polymer layer having an imprint pattern corresponding to the mold pattern and being solidified, and to remove the taking device from the soluble mold; and providing a solvent to dissolve the soluble mold to obtain an imprint workpiece having the imprint pattern.

Monofilament-reinforced hollow fiber membrane with scalloped lumen
A hollow fiber membrane is formed by embedding a braid having a spiral open weave of monofilaments only, to avoid a whiskering problem. The open weave is characterized by contiguous, circumferential, rhomboid-shaped areas of polymer film separated by monofilaments. When the braid is supported on a plasticized PVA cable having a scalloped periphery, the braid can be infiltrated with membrane polymer which, when coagulated, embeds the braid positioning it around the lumen. The embedded spiral weave, free of any circumferentially constricting monofilament, allows the membrane to be biaxially distensible. The membrane has give not only in the axial or longitudinal direction but also in the radial direction. Give in the radial direction permits soiled membranes to be backwashed under higher pressure than in a comparable braid which is not radially distensible.

ACOUSTIC METAMATERIAL AND METHOD FOR THE ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING THEREOF
Embodiments of the present invention relates to an acoustic metamaterial, as well as to a method for manufacturing the same. The acoustic metamaterial includes a plurality of channels or columns each having the same cross-section with a hydraulic radius between 5 and 300 ?m, which channels or columns are arranged with a periodic spacing between 2 and 600 ?m. This results in a highly dense network that can provide optimal acoustic absorption and/or impedance over a wide frequency range. The method for manufacturing the same includes additive manufacturing with a plurality of consecutive material deposition steps to form, in each step, a layer comprising a plurality of periodically repeated cells separated by walls. The layers deposited in the consecutive material deposition steps are stacked with their respective cells aligned to form channels.
