Disclosed herein is a composition comprising a thiol-terminated compound; an oxidant; and a thermally conductive filler package comprising thermally conductive, electrically insulative filler particles. The thermally conductive, electrically insulative filler particles have a thermal conductivity of at least 5 W/m.Math.K (measured according to ASTM D7984) and a volume resistivity of at least 1 Ω.Math.m (measured according to ASTM D257, C611, or B193) and may be present in an amount of at least 50% by volume based on total volume of the filler package. The thermally conductive filler package may be present in an amount of 15% by volume percent to 90% by volume based on total volume of the composition. The present invention also is directed to a method for treating a substrate and to substrates comprising a layer formed from a composition disclosed herein.

A method for producing a component includes incorporating a molding compound into a tool for producing the component, where the molding compound includes an artificial resin as a matrix and a filler material embedded in the matrix. The method includes compressing the molding compound by the tool and by the compressing forming the molding compound to a green product. The method further includes providing the green product while disposed in the tool with a layer in a sub-region by incorporating a liquid material for producing the layer into the tool and applying the liquid material to the sub-region. The liquid material is a metallic material and the layer is an electromagnetic shielding on the green product.

Systems and methods for forming insulation on magnet wire are provided. An extruder that includes one or more rotating screws may receive a thermoset polymeric material and process the thermoset polymeric material to increase its pressure and temperature. An extrusion crosshead assembly in fluid communication with the extruder may receive the thermoset polymeric material and press extrude the thermoset polymeric material as insulation onto a magnet wire. A curing device may then cure the extruded insulation material.

A system and method for forming electrical devices via additive manufacturing processes that utilize starting materials that are in a solid state at least prior to, as well as after, the formation of the electrical device. A first solid starting material can be configured to form one or more insulator layers of the electrical device, while another solid starting material can be applied to form one or more electrically conductive layers. The starting materials canbe applied layer-by-layer during formation of the electrical device such that the electrically conductive layers can become automatically embedded within the insulating layers, and vice versa. The additive manufacturing process(es) utilized to form the electrically conductive layers from solid starting materials can be different than the additive manufacturing process(es) utilized to form the insulator layers.

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an electronic or electrical system, the method comprising the layer-free production of at least one physical structure (101, 102) which is designed to guide electromagnetic waves, using at least one additively operating apparatus, wherein the layer-free production of the spatial, layer-free structure comprises the simultaneous or sequential application and/or removal of one or more materials in the spatial arrangement, as a result of which the electronic or electrical system is partially or completely formed. The invention further relates to a system which is manufactured in accordance with the method.
