TRANSPARENT POLYESTER FILM WITH LOW VISIBLE LIGHT TRANSMITTANCE AND HIGH INFRARED-BLOCKING RATE AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME
A transparent polyester film has low visible light transmittance of 5-50% by JIS K7705 testing standard and a high infrared-blocking rate of at least 90% by JIS R3106 testing standard, which is extruded from a kind of polyester resins obtained from 5-40 wt % of nanoparticle-based thermal insulation slurry and/or 0.005-0.1 wt % of nanoparticle-based black pigment slurry by weight of and to react with the polymerization materials to completely perform an esterification and a polycondensation, wherein the thermal insulation nanoparticle has a chemical formula of Cs.sub.XN.sub.YWO.sub.3-ZCl.sub.C with an average particle size of 10-90 nm and the nanoparticle-based black contains carbon black particles having a particle size of 20-80 nm.
Seamless Integration of Illumination into Interior Trim Panels with Decorative Surface Materials
A decorative cover for a back-illuminated interior trim panel for a vehicle, said cover being a sturdy shell-structure including a transparent plate, forming the back side of the shell-structure, and a decorative component top layer including a trim material layer, which forms the outer surface of the decorative cover, wherein the trim material layer is formed from a trim material which is one from a group of materials consisting of a wood veneer, a metallic layer, a paper, a textile and a fabric, and wherein the laminate is configured to have a predetermined degree of translucency.
ILLUMINATED EMBLEM ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
An illuminated emblem assembly includes a multi-component outer lens having an exterior surface and an interior surface further comprising an externally visible area to be illuminated, an inner lens having an exterior surface and an interior surface, a printed circuit board assembly, a heat sink, a housing for the inner and outer lenses, and at least one light source, wherein the at least one light source is offset from the externally visible area to be illuminated. A method of manufacturing the illuminated emblem assembly includes injection molding the multi-component outer lens, providing the inner lens, providing the housing for the inner and outer lenses, providing the at least one light source, and assembling the inner and outer lenses and the at least one light source within the housing to obtain the illuminated emblem assembly.
METHODS OF MAKING CATHETERS HAVING VISIBLE MARKERS FOR IDENTIFYING SOAKER REGIONS CONTAINING FLUID OPENINGS
A method of making a catheter includes obtaining a hollow tube having a proximal section, a distal section, an elongated conduit, and one or more fluid openings formed in the distal section of the hollow tube that are in fluid communication with the elongated lumen. The method includes inserting a mandrel within the elongated lumen, positioning a first visible marker over an outer surface of the hollow tube at a junction of the proximal and distal sections of the hollow tube, and placing a sacrificial material over the first visible marker to completely cover the first visible marker. Heat is applied for shrinking the sacrificial material, which, in turn, compresses the first visible marker against the outer surface of the hollow tube, and for least partially melting the first visible marker for fusing the first visible marker to the outer surface of the hollow tube.
Equipment cover with textured outer surface
The present invention relates to equipment covers. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of making an equipment cover, the method comprising: moulding a cover from a substantially transparent or translucent polymer, optionally a thermoplastic polymer, to form a cover having a textured outer surface and a generally smoother inner surface; and applying a coating having reflective components to the inner surface.
Vehicle control panel and production method
A method of producing a control panel for a vehicle. The method includes the following operations: a) producing a touch-sensitive film, the touch-sensitive film including a film, a conductive layer, a main decorative layer, and a secondary decorative layer, the conductive layer being arranged on an inner face of the film, the main decorative layer being arranged on an outer face of the film, and the secondary decorative layer having at least one critical deformation portion arranged on the inner face of the film in at least one corresponding critical deformation zone; b) shaping said touch-sensitive film, the touch-sensitive film being shaped in a non-developable three-dimensional manner in each critical deformation zone; and c) molding a layer of plastic material onto the main decorative layer.
LIGHT ENGINE ASSEMBLY FOR AUTOMOTIVE INTERIOR
A method for forming a light engine assembly includes the steps of injecting a light trough material into a mold, thereby forming a light trough including a trough body having an edge, and injecting a seal material into the mold, thereby forming a seal configured to bond with the edge of the trough body. The method further includes cooling one of the light trough material and the seal material to adhere the light trough material to the seal material, thereby forming a unitary light trough part, ejecting the light trough part, and coupling a lighting unit with the light trough part.
Adhesive hook
An adhesive hook includes a base which has a bottom for fixing, an outer surface, and a hook provided at the outer surface. The bottom of the base is fixed on an external surface by means of an adhesive, and the adhesive is a curable adhesive. The structure of the adhesive hook is simple, and the curing speed of the curable adhesive is fast. After the curing process, the load bearing of the hook is larger than 1 Kg/cm2. Further, the adhesive hook has high cohesion strength after the adhesive is cured, and no remain is pasted on the external surface or the base after the hook is removed. The base can be recoated with new adhesive to reuse, which reduces cost and achieves recycling.
