Overmolded electronic eyewear device frame
A process of overmolding a frame of a portable eyewear electronic device and a frame produced by the process is presented. A frame that includes a first material and includes a releasably mountable feature is attached to the mold in a desired position and does not contact other areas of the mold. The mold is filled with a second material to at least partially encase the frame insert.
Oxygen delivery apparatus using eyeglass frames
An oxygen delivery apparatus wearable by user includes a frame including nose pads connected to a bridge portion, an oxygen inlet defined by one of the nose pads, an oxygen inlet defined by the frame, and a hollow channel contained by the frame. The oxygen inlet and oxygen outlet are in fluid communication via the hollow channel. The frame can be formed as a monolithic structure using additive manufacturing. A nasal prong can be connected to the oxygen outlet such that a prong outlet of the prong is in fluid communication with the hollow channel. The prong outlet is positioned within a nostril of the user during use of the apparatus. A method of fabricating the frame includes obtaining measurement information for at least one of a head feature or facial characteristic of the user and generating a digital model of the oxygen delivery apparatus using the measurement information.
METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF ARTICLES AND SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCTS MADE OF CELLULOSE ACETATE
Method for production of articles and semi-finished products made of cellulose acetate, comprising the steps of recover-mg waste material consisting of cellulose acetate derived from previously made cellulose acetate articles and/or semi-finished products, distributing or positioning a mixture of at least one polymeric material inside a mould, heating and pressing the mixture inside the mould in order to form the articles or semi-finished products. The mixture is formed at least partially by the waste material consisting of cellulose acetate and the articles and/or semi-finished products may be subjected to a cooling and pressing step. The mixture is formed at least partially by fragments of cellulose acetate.
Facial interfaces for head-mounted displays and related systems and methods
A head-mounted display may include a frame for supporting an electronic display for viewing by an intended user donning the head-mounted display. The frame may include a flange disposed on a perimeter area of the frame and a facial interface configured to abut against an intended user's face wherein the facial interface comprises a foam body and an undercut region in the foam body that is sized and shaped for detachably engaging with the flange of the frame. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.
WEARABLE ELECTRIC-CIRCUIT-INTEGRATED MOLDED ARTICLE
A molded body is molded into a prescribed three-dimensional shape. A protective film covers at least a portion of a surface of the molded body. A circuit film is integrally molded with the molded body. An electric circuit is installed in the circuit film and causes a physical change outside of a molded article or causes an electric signal to be generated in accordance with a physical change outside of the molded article. The protective film or the circuit film has a contact area disposed on the surface of a contact portion. The molded body includes a hot melt adhesive: which is disposed on the surface of the molded body which is opposite skin, with the contact area therebetween; and which defines a three-dimensional shape of the contact area within the prescribed shape. The hot melt adhesive covers at least a portion of the circuit film.
Eyewear with chroma enhancement
Some embodiments provide a lens including a lens body and an optical filter configured to attenuate visible light in certain spectral bands. At least some of the spectral bands can include spectral features that tend to substantially increase the colorfulness, clarity, and/or vividness of a scene. In certain embodiments, eyewear incorporates an optical filter that enhances chroma within one or more spectral bands. In some embodiments, a wearer of the eyewear can perceive the increase in chroma when viewing at least certain types of scenes.
Button assembly and method of manufacturing thereof
A method of manufacturing a button-enabled housing assembly includes pre-forming a composite button component or insert having an elastically flexible button membrane that is mounted on a rigid frame, and thereafter molding a housing over the button insert. The composite button insert is formed in a co-molding operation and can include a rigid island in the flexible button membrane for supporting a cosmetic keycap.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TREATING A PRINTED MODEL
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for treating a printed model. The methods may include placing at least a portion of the printed model into a heat treatment medium. The methods may further include performing a heat treatment on the printed model based at least in part on the heat treatment medium. The heat treatment medium may provide a constraint force to prevent a deformation of the printed model during the heat treatment. And the methods may also include obtaining a printed object based at least in part on the heat treatment performed on the printed model.
MOLDED ARTICLE, ELECTRICAL PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING MOLDED ARTICLE
A molded article or an electrical product facilitates layout of a wiring line from an electrical circuit of a circuit film integrally molded with a molded body to a connection terminal. The molded article includes a circuit film and a molded body. The circuit film includes an insulating film and an electrical circuit. The molded body is integrally molded with the circuit film. The circuit film includes a flexible wiring portion. The molded body has a through-hole that penetrates from a first main surface to a second main surface. In the flexible wiring portion, a connection terminal is arranged at a position of passing through the through-hole and beyond the second main surface.
