A manufacturing method of a bead core of the present disclosure comprises an annular body forming step of winding a strip member formed by coating one or more bead wires with a coating resin to form an annular body, and a resin coating step of coating the annular body formed in the annular body forming step with a resin. The resin is a resin different from the coating resin.

Calender having a roll with side collars

A profiling calender includes an intermediate roll, a lower roll, and a pair of intermediate lugs. The intermediate and lower rolls are separated by a distance defining a height of a second profiling nip. The intermediate lugs are situated at ends of the intermediate and lower rolls and include two quarter-circle bearing surfaces that meet at the second profiling nip. Each end of the intermediate roll or each end of the lower roll is equipped with a collar fastened to the roll and positioned between the roll and a quarter-circle bearing surface of a corresponding intermediate lug. The collar enables a radius of the roll to be increased by a height equal to the separation distance in order to improve an appearance of edges of a profiled element produced by the calender.

Method and device for mounting filler to bead core

A method for annularly mounting a band-like filler to the outer periphery of a bead core comprises a step for attaching the filler to the outer periphery of the bead core, a step for grasping the opposite ends of the filler and separating the opposite ends of the filler from the outer periphery of the bead core, a step for sequentially attaching the opposite end surfaces of the filler to each other from the inner peripheral sections of the opposite end surfaces toward the outer peripheral sections thereof, and a step for pressing the portion of the filler, which has been separated from the outer periphery of the bead core, against the outer periphery of the bead core.

Machine and method for removing beads from tires at the end of life

Machine for extracting a cord made of metal material from a sidewall of a tire, being part of the sidewall and defining a support structure of said tire, including: a frame; support means for the tire configured to support said tire resting on one sidewall in a loading zone; a hook for extracting said cord from the sidewall of the tire; means for manipulating said hook, configured to manipulate the hook with respect to the frame in an extraction direction between a position for engagement with said tire in the loading zone and a position for disengagement from said tire and extraction of said cord; a command and control unit to command said means for manipulating the hook,: an element able to move with respect to the frame to detach the cord from the hook when the hook is in position for disengagement; and means for manipulating the movable element, to manipulate the movable element from a first position to a second position to carry out releasing of the cord from the hook.

Tire bead wire remover
10022895 · 2018-07-17 ·

A machine that removes the bead wires from tires for the purpose of reclaiming the wire and recycling of the tire. The bead of the tire is placed over a drive wheel and tension rollers, the tension rollers move away from the drive wheel which stretches the bead against the drive wheel. The drive wheel is driven by a drive system and causes the bead to rotate. As the bead rotates a blade contacts the inner periphery of the bead and severs the rubber and reinforcement material. Directly following the blade are two plates that are spaced apart approximately equal to the diameter of the bead wire. The plates push the rubber and reinforcement material off of the bead wire as the bead rotates.
