FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM PIPE FITTINGS
A fire protection system can include one or more pipes coupled with a fluid source, a pipe fitting coupled with the one or more pipes downstream of the fluid source, and at least one sprinkler coupled with the one or more pipes and the pipe fitting. The pipe fitting can include a wall defining an opening, the wall having an outer diameter, a first wall thickness at the opening, and a second wall thickness inward from the opening, the second wall thickness greater than the first wall thickness. The at least one sprinkler can be coupled with the one or more pipes and the pipe fitting to receive fluid from the fluid source through the one or more pipes and the pipe fitting.
Rotatable Pipe Adapter
A pipe adapter includes a first tubular element, a second tubular element, and an annular securing member disposed around and fixed to a second portion of the first tubular element. The annular securing member has a flange portion that contacts and secures the second tubular element axially relative to the first tubular element while also allowing the second tubular element to rotate relative to the first tubular element and the annular securing member. An annular sealing member is located around the first portion of the second tubular element to provide an axial seal along the adapter.
Pipe Elbows and Methods of Manufacture
A method for forming a pipe elbow comprises cutting a first precursor from a pipe. The pipe has an inner diameter surface and an outer diameter surface and a central longitudinal axis. The first precursor has a first end and a second end off parallel to the first end. Machining forms an interior surface having an arcuate centerline. Machining forms welding interfaces at the first end and the second end.
Fluid interaction device, fluid interaction arrangement and method for producing same
A fluid interaction device for establishing an interaction with a fluid, particularly a brake fluid or a fuel fluid. A housing member accommodates a fluid interaction portion. The fluid interaction portion is adapted to interact with a fluid within the housing member. The housing member further comprises a connection portion which can be connected to a fluid supply element. The connection portion is formed as a weldable, tubular end portion so that the housing member can be connected to a joining portion of the fluid supply element by means of a welded joint.
MULTI PART PLASTIC ASSEMBLY THAT SIMPLIFIES THE APPLICATION OF PRIMER SOLVENTS AND PLASTIC BONDING CEMENTS AND/OR AGENTS TO PLASTIC AND/OR PVC PIPING
The present invention is a system and methods that facilitates the application of PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue to the inner surfaces of PVC unions and the outer surface of PVC pipes. The invention consists of a PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue reservoir, a method of pressurizing the reservoir, and forcing the PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue through a series of tubes and holes in the apparatus and into a foam applicator which transfers the PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue onto the inner surface or onto the outer surface of a PVC union or PVC pipe to a predetermined depth thus reducing waste of the PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue. The foam application housing contains a foam applicator specifically for applying PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue to either the inner surface of a PCV union or to the outer surface of a PVC pipe giving a uniform application of PVC primer (solvent) or PVC glue.
MOLD ASSEMBLY FOR INJECTION MOLDING OF A PLASTIC PIPE FITTING AND INJECTION MOLDED PIPE FITTING MADE OF PLASTICS
A mold assembly (1) for injection molding of a plastic pipe fitting (2, 3). The pipe fitting comprises an elbow-shaped or a tee-shaped internal flow channel (4). At least one of the first core member (14) and the second core member (15) of the core package (12, 13) comprises a built-in cooling arrangement (20) for cooling of the core package (12, 13), the cooling arrangement (20) extending longitudinally inside said core member over a substantial length of said core member. The pipe fitting (2, 3) comprises an elbow-shaped or tee-shaped internal flow channel (4) comprising at least two channel parts (5, 6, 7) arranged at a first angle () in relation to each other, the channel parts (5, 6, 7) each having a circular cross-section and a smoothly radiused inner corner face (8) between each two channel parts being at said first angle in relation to each other, the at least one of the channel parts having an inner diameter D, a length L from central corner point to the end of the channel part, the inner corner face having a rounding radius R. The ratio (D/R) of the inner diameter D and the rounding radius R is in the range 2 to 5, and the ratio (L/D) of the length L and inner diameter D is in the range 8 to 3.
METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A FEMALE CONNECTOR OF A PLUG-IN CONNECTOR
According to one embodiment a plug-in connector is provided that includes a female connector and a male connector. The female connector includes a head configured for being connected to the male connector and a body fixed to the head which is configured for being attached to a pipe/hose. A contact area including a line of contact communicated with the inside of the female connector is defined between the head and the body. The plug-in connector also includes a sealing gasket configured for assuring leak-tightness between the female connector and the male connector, the line of contact being arranged in a previous axial position with respect to at least part of the sealing gasket in the direction of insertion of the male connector into the female connector, such that the sealing gasket itself also assures the leak-tightness in the line of contact.
Ejector Integrally Formed with an Intake Air Component and a Method to Manufacture
Vapors in the fuel tank of a vehicle are collected in a carbon canister. An ejector or aspirator is used to purge the carbon canister in a pressure-charged engine in which a positive pressure exists in the intake. A compact ejector includes a substantially planar flange and a venturi tube coupled to the flange with a central axis of the venturi tube substantially parallel to the flange. By manufacturing the ejector in two pieces, dimensions within the ejector: throat, converging section, and diverging section, is more accurate than prior art manufacturing techniques thereby providing better flow characteristics throughout the boost range. By forming one of the two pieces of the ejector integrally with the air intake component in which it is coupled, decreases part count and the number of manufacturing processes.
