Water-based hydrogel blend coating and method of application to elastomeric articles
A water-based hydrogel polymer coating and a method of application to natural rubber or other elastomeric latex products are provided. The water-based hydrogel polymer is mixed with a blend of at least one elastomeric material to provide a hydrogel polymer blend composition. The water-based hydrogel polymer blend composition is applied in a single application to an elastomeric article, such as gloves, without additional solvents in the polymer blend composition and without a separate acid or chemical priming step. The water-based hydrogel coating herein provides increased lubricity to facilitate improved wet and dry donning of the elastomeric article.
DIP-MOLDED ARTICLE
An immersion-molded body, wherein: the immersion-molded body is obtained using a latex; the latex comprises a chloroprene-based block copolymer; the chloroprene-based block copolymer contains 5 to 30% by mass of a polymer block (A) and 70 to 95% by mass of a chloroprene-based polymer block (B); the polymer block (A) is derived from a monomer; when the monomer is polymerized alone, a polymer with a glass transition temperature of 80° C. or higher can be obtained; the chloroprene-based polymer block (B) includes a chloroprene monomer unit; and when the immersion-molded body is heat-treated at 130° C. for 30 minutes, a tensile strength at break of the heat-treated immersion-molded body measured in accordance with JIS K6251 is 17 MPa or more.
Method of making a multilayered elastomeric article
Elastomeric articles, such as gloves, made from more than one layer, are provided. The gloves can include a first (grip side) layer in which a first colorant is compounded or integrated and a second (donning side) layer in which a second colorant is compounded or integrated. Alternatively, the gloves can include a translucent first layer and a second layer in which a colorant is compounded or integrated. Either arrangement can enable a breach of the first layer to be more easily detected, either due to the high level of contrast between the first layer and the second when a first colorant and a second colorant are utilized, or due to the translucence of the first layer as compared to the donning side layer, where the intensity of the second layer is increased upon a breach of the translucent first layer.
Finger protector, and method of making
The subject matter relates generally to devices configured to be attached to fingers and/or the hands of persons and which may aid in the playing of musical instruments. These devices are custom made to fit the fingers of a particular musician or aspiring musician precisely and optionally include an additional feature or element at the tip which beneficially improves the ability to play. These devices also may protect the fingers from the adverse effects of prolonged playing. These devices may be used independently on each finger, or may be combined together into a glove with the finger devices attached to the rest of a custom fitting glove.
Ambidextrous fish scale-textured glove
The described invention relates to an ambidextrous working glove having fish scale-textured inner and outer surfaces and methods of making same.
Method for producing a prophylactic article
The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a prophylactic article, especially of a glove, from a (carboxylated) diene rubber, according to which a layer of a (carboxylated) diene latex is applied on a former and the (carboxylated) diene latex is cross-linked with a cross-linking agent, which is immobilized on inorganic and/or organic particles with formation of modified particles, and the modified particles are added to the (carboxylated) diene latex.
RUBBER LATEX COMPOUND, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING GLOVE, AND GLOVE
An object of the prevent invention is to provide a rubber latex compound that enables manufacturing a glove which is superior in terms of touch panel responsiveness, and has superior flexibility. The rubber latex compound according to one aspect of the present invention is a rubber latex compound for a glove containing a rubber latex as a principal component, wherein carbon black, an anionic surfactant, a nonionic dispersant, and a water-soluble polymer are contained in the rubber latex compound; a DBP oil absorption of the carbon black is no less than 250 ml/100 g and no greater than 600 ml/100 g, and a volatile content of the carbon black is no less than 0.3% by mass and less than 1.0% by mass; an amount of addition of the water-soluble polymer with respect to 100 parts by mass of the carbon black is no less than 8 parts by mass and no greater than 50 parts by mass; and a total amount of addition of the nonionic dispersant and the water-soluble polymer with respect to 100 parts by mass of the carbon black is no less than 38 parts by mass and no greater than 200 parts by mass.
ECO-FRIENDLY WEARABLE DIPPED ARTICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
The present invention generally relates to an eco-friendly wearable article comprising a nutrient complex capable of efficiently able to reduce or eliminate methane gas emission during biodegradation of the article, and a method of making the eco-friendly wearable article containing the nutrient complex. Preferably, the nutrient complex typically comprises anionic sulphate ions and cationic salts of iron(II) and copper(II), thereby facilitating methane oxidation in an anaerobic environment such as a landfill.
Protective gloves and method of making protective gloves
A protective guard for a hand, finger or thumb includes a first thermoplastic layer heat welded to second thermoplastic layer. The second thermoplastic layer has a thickness that is greater than the thickness of the first thermoplastic layer.
Composition for dip molding
A glove including a cured film of an elastomer containing a (meth)acrylonitrile-derived structural unit, an unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit and a butadiene-derived structural unit in a polymer main chain, wherein the elastomer contains 20 to 40% by weight of a (meth)acrylonitrile-derived structural unit, 1 to 10% by weight of an unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit and 50 to 75% by weight of a butadiene-derived structural unit, and has a crosslinked structure of a carboxyl group in the unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit with an epoxy crosslinker containing an epoxy compound having three or more epoxy groups in one molecule.
