Combination of silica and graphite and its use for decreasing the thermal conductivity of vinyl aromatic polymer foam
The invention relates to the co-use of a) a certain type of silica and b) a certain type of graphite, wherein the silica and the graphite are used in a weight ratio in a range of from 1:1 to 1:10, for decreasing the thermal conductivity of vinyl aromatic polymer foam.
Additive printing method
A manufacturing method which manufactures articles which have hollow areas inside them which are subject to their own internal vacuum. A 3-D printer can be located inside a vacuum chamber and the article(s) can be 3-D printed, thereby the hollow area inside each such article is subject to its own vacuum. When removed from the vacuum chamber, the article's hollow area remains subject to its own internal vacuum.
Fracking Tools and Methods of Forming the Same
A method of forming a fracking tool, such as a frac ball or a frac plug mandrel, may include: applying a resin to wet a filament; winding the wetted filament to form a cylinder; placing the cylinder in a cylindrical mold; increasing a pressure in the cylindrical mold to at least 3,000 psi; curing the resin at the pressure and a temperature of at least 250 F.; and extracting the cylinder from the mold. In some instances, the method may further include adding the resin and/or another resin into the cylindrical mold.
Systems and Methods for Forming a Winding Structure
An automated machine for forming winding structures without the use of a mandrel using a driven headstock and driven tailstock. The winding machine allows for selective orientation and selective layering of the filament as it is wound onto the pin rings. The winding structure can receive forms into a hollow center and the composite placed in a female mold. Alternatively the winding structure may be formed into a laminate which can be orientated and aligned on a form to achieve desired mechanical properties.
Method of making spheroidal particles
A method for forming spheroidal particles including inducing flow of a slurry of particles and a reactant through one or more orifices, detaching an amount of the slurry from the slurry flow following exit from the one or more orifices, the detached amount forming a slurry body, forming the slurry body into a spheroidal shape, contacting the spheroidally shaped slurry body with a coagulation solution to form a stabilized spheroidal particle and drying and/or sintering the stabilized spheroidal particle.
PROCESSING DEVICE OF A MAKEUP PRODUCT, AND MAKEUP PRODUCT OBTAINED BY MEANS OF SAID DEVICE
Processing device of a makeup product comprising: a first plate provided with first mutually adjacent channels with parallel axes, of semicircle section, and a second plate provided with second mutually adjacent channels with parallel axes, also of semicircle section, the first and the second channels being configured such that, when the first plate and the second plate are overlapped with their respective channels facing each other, each pair of first and second channels forms a tubular element with circular section; the device having guides configured to allow the movement of a plate relative to the other, in a direction parallel with respect to the axes of the channels; and at least one movement system of a plate relative to the other.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING TOY BALLS FOR PETS
The invention relates to the method of producing toy balls for pets, including: manufacturing distorted sphere balls with an opening in the distorted area using injection molding; sealing the opening of the distorted sphere balls to form uni-body sphere-shaped balls. The material used in the production of these toys can be rubber, thermoplastic elastomers, or thermoplastic rubber. This method allows to manufacture toy balls with no detached parts in the case of broken joints when the balls are chewed or torn apart by the pets. Thus, the invention can help to keep the pets from endangering themselves by swallowing detached parts of pet toy balls.
Method for Exchanging a Section of a Plastic Component
A method is provided for exchanging a section, in particular a damaged section, of a plastic component. The method includes: separating the section from the plastic component; providing at least one connecting element made from a plastic; pressing the at least one connecting element onto the plastic component such that the one connecting element abuts a remaining part of the plastic component; oscillating the connecting element by an ultrasonic sonotrode; and welding the connecting element to the remaining part of the plastic component; providing a replacement section for the separated section, wherein the replacement section has a hole, in particular a through-hole; applying the replacement section in the region from which the separated section was separated, such that the replacement section is clamped by its hole directly in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner onto the connecting element and/or the connecting element extends at least some way through the through-hole, wherein a clip element is clipped onto a section of the connecting element extending through the hole. The clip element projects beyond the through-hole and connects the replacement part to the remaining part of the plastic component in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner.
