Powder supplier
A powder supplier, which supplies a powder material to a pressure molding mechanism that continuously generates a molded body, including: a casing having an inlet to which the powder material is supplied and an outlet from which the powder material is discharged; one or a plurality of screws being disposed inside the casing and rotationally driven to transport the powder material in an axial direction; motors being disposed outside the casing and rotationally driving screws; and a regulator being disposed between the screws, and the outlet inside the casing, and regulating a flow of the powder material. The regulator has a rotation shaft perpendicular to the axial direction of the screws, and a width direction of the powder material discharged from the outlet, and being configured to rotate about the rotation shaft.
Barrel block for twin-screw extruder and twin-screw extruder
A barrel block for a twin-screw extruder constitutes a barrel including a cylinder and has joints at both ends. A first joint includes a first inner joint face on a peripheral edge of a first hole of an insertion hole for screws, and includes a first flank face and a first outer joint face on an outer periphery of the first inner joint face. The first outer joint face is located in the outer periphery of a plurality of first bolt holes. The first outer joint face is more recessed toward a second block end face than the first inner joint face.
SCREW AND TWIN-SCREW ASSEMBLY FOR USE IN ELASTOMER MIXTURE EXTRUDERS AND ASSOCIATED METHOD FOR EXTRUSION OF ELASTOMER MIXTURES
A Screw for use in a twin-screw assembly of an elastomer mixture extruder with a threaded part with a single-start thread which defines at least three different sectors of the screw. The three sectors have an intake segment to capture the mixture fed from outside to push it downstream along the longitudinal direction, with a cross-section of the through-flow channel between adjacent flanks of the thread which is constant over at least two pitches or a rotation through 720 degrees of the thread. A transition sector which has a cross-section of the through-flow channel variable and smaller than the cross-section of the through-flow channel and is designed to cause an increase of the thrusting pressure acting on the mixture in transit in the longitudinal direction; and a high-pressure sector designed to cause the compression of the mixture to obtain a maximum pressure of the mixture.
Dual auger shredder having low profile
An auger system adapted to shred large materials. An exemplary embodiment is comprised of dual opposing augers that are adapted to grab, compress, and shred the material, reducing the material size such that it may be discharged through a side outlet opening and/or an extrusion tube into, for example, a standard roll-off compaction container. An exemplary embodiment allows large material to be processed in a low speed device with reduced equipment dimensions, providing operator safety with low profile loading, lower noise level, reduced chances of material being expelled from the processing chamber, and ability to use conventional material transport (e.g., semi-trucks).
SCREW ELEMENTS FOR EXTRUSION APPARATUS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING A HONEYCOMB BODY
Screw elements, extrusion apparatus, and methods of manufacturing honeycomb bodies are described herein. A segment for a ceramic batch screw extruder machine has at least one pump and mix screw element. The pump and mix screw element has a pitch, a diameter, and a pitch to diameter ratio of 0.8 to 2.6.
EXTRUDER, OPERATIONAL METHOD THEREOF, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING HONEYCOMB GREEN BODY USING SAID EXTRUDER
The present disclosure provides an extruder that includes: at least one screw that extends along an axial direction, the screw including a downstream end positioned downstream in a conveying direction of raw material that is conveyed along the axial direction in accordance with rotation of the screw; a housing that houses the screw; and at least one axial support that axially supports the downstream end of the screw, the axial support including at least one rectifier plate.
Thermomechanical decontamination system and method for infectious waste treatment
An infectious waste treatment system and method for decontaminating infectious waste employ a thermal friction extruder in which first and second interleaved counter-rotatable augers include reverse pitch flight sections that urge waste material in a direction opposite to that of the flow stream and into engagement with the back sides of friction plates. This increases the amount of heat generated by the extruder. The reverse pitch flight sections can be selectively replaced with forward pitch flight sections to control the amount of heat imparted to the waste material by the friction plates.
COMPRESSION SCREW FOR PRODUCING ANIMAL FEED
An animal feed producing system comprises a compression screw assembly. The compression screw assembly includes at least a first screw, a second screw and a plurality of barrels. The first and second screws include a plurality of flights and roots. The plurality of screws is configured such that they include a plurality of sections. Each section comprises a set of plurality of flights and a plurality of roots configured to perform a specific compression function, such as perpendicular compression and lateral compression.
