A method and apparatus for heating and/or pressing sealant of an insulating glass unit. The apparatus may include an oven and a press. The oven includes a detector that detects an optical property of the insulating glass unit. The detected optical property is used to regulate the amount of energy applied to the insulating glass unit to adjust the amount of energy applied to the sealant. The press may include a displacement transducer that detects a pre-pressed thickness of the insulating glass unit. The measured pre-pressed thickness is used to automatically select a press thickness from a set of pressed IGU thicknesses.
Device and method for installing and adjusting sliding block of multipoint crank press
The present invention discloses a device and method for installing and adjusting a sliding block of a multipoint crank press. The device comprises a crank, a connecting rod with an end provided with a U-shaped notch, a sliding block and an eccentric pin shaft micro-adjustment mechanism. The eccentric pin shaft micro-adjustment mechanism is installed at the joint between the connecting rod and the sliding block. The crank, the connecting rod and the sliding block of the multipoint press are normally machined and installed through a classical process, so that the sliding block of the multipoint press runs to a bottom dead center. A gap among mechanisms is eliminated through the loading by a hydraulic loader. The position of one set of crank, connecting rod and sliding block mechanism is taken as a reference, and then the eccentric positions and directions of the eccentric pin shafts at other adjustment positions are finely adjusted, thus realizing high-precision assembly and operation of the multipoint press.
PRESSING ASSEMBLY
A pressing assembly includes a button, a first connection portion, a receiving portion, a first elastic element, a pressing rod, and a pressing portion. The first connection portion includes a first end movably connected to the button and a second end connected to the receiving portion. The receiving portion defines a receiving space. A part of the pressing rod is movably received in the receiving space. The first elastic element is received in the receiving space. One end of the first elastic element is fixed, another end of the first elastic element resists the pressing rod. The pressing portion is connected to the pressing rod.

A press drive for a press includes an elbow lever drive. The elbow lever drive includes a first lever, a second lever and a connecting rod. The lengths of the two levers as well as the connecting rod are fixed. The first lever is pivotally supported on the press frame by a first support bearing. The second lever is supported on the plunger via a second support bearing. The connecting rod and the two levers are supported by an elbow joint so as to be pivotable relative to each other about a common pivot axis. The connecting rod is driven by an eccentric drive. An adjustment arrangement is provided for moving the eccentric drive relative to the press frame or respectively, the first support bearing. In this way, different operating modes can be established depending on the position of the eccentric drive along the adjustment path.
Automated spacer frame fabrication and method
Method and Apparatus for fabricating a spacer frame for use in an insulating glass unit. One of a multiple number of possible spacer frame materials is chosen for the spacer frame. An elongated strip of the material is moved to a notching station where notches are formed at corner locations. The character of the notches is adjusted based on the selection of the metal strip material and more particularly to achieve bending of the material in an repeatable, straightforward manner. Downstream from the notching station the metal strip is bent into a channel shaped elongated frame member having side walls. Further downstream a leading strip of channel shaped material is severed or separated front succeeding material still passing through the notching and bending station.
PRESS DEVICE AND PRESS METHOD
A press device includes: a press head having: a press plate, a chamber base body and an elastic packing; and a provisional pressing unit having: a provisional pressing plate which transmits a provisional pressing force, and a provisional pressing force applying mechanism which gives a provisional pressing force to the provisional pressing plate. A main pressing force is generated to a work placed on a press surface by introducing a pressurized fluid into a chamber from a pressurized fluid source in a state where the elastic packing is deformed by compression by a provisional pressing force. The press device further includes a suppression unit which restricts the displacement of the provisional pressing plate in a counter provisional pressing direction by suppressing the movement of the provisional pressing plate in the counter provisional pressing direction.

A press device includes a slide configured to hold a first die, a holding portion configured to hold a second die, a reciprocating mechanism that causes the slide to reciprocate in a stroke direction in which the first die and the second die move closer to or away from each other, and a pressurizing mechanism that holds the second die while pressurizing the second die toward the first die with a stroke shorter than that of the reciprocating mechanism in a state where the first die and the second die are moved close to each other by the reciprocating mechanism.
