Blank and forming tool for forming a container
A blank for being formed into a container. The blank has a marginal area that includes a plurality of score lines for facilitating forming of the blank into the container. The score lines are positioned to facilitate formation of the container. A forming tool has features to facilitate forming the blank into the container.
Method and device for packaging articles
A device for automated packaging of articles, comprising a conveyor for feeding and transporting into the device a blank of corrugated cardboard, a pair of crease wheels for creating two longitudinal crease lines in the blank, a transversal blade or score applicator for successively creating four transversal crease lines in the blank as the blank is transported into the device, and opposite pressing members such as jaws of a press and/or pressing rollers, arranged symmetrically with respect to a center line of the device, whose lateral position is adjustable for their ends or tips to match the two longitudinal crease lines, and activated in a timely manner as the blank is transported into the device to crush the corrugated cardboard in the top, middle and bottom corners of the blank in order to make it easily foldable.
COMPOSITE STRUCTURES FOR PACKAGING ARTICLES AND RELATED METHODS
The composite structure includes a fiber-containing layer, such as a fiberboard layer or other layer having fibers from natural and/or synthetic sources, and a mineral-containing layer covering the fiber-containing layer. The fiber-containing layer and mineral-containing layer can be shaped, sized and manufactured such that the composite structure formed therefrom is capable of being machined to form a storage article. The composite structure has advantages in that it can improve whiteness, opacity, ink adhesion, materials reduction, barrier properties, recyclability, and printability. The composite can reduce polymer mass requirements for heat seal, barrier, and fiber adhesion. Further improvements include economics, pliability, and flexibility that is increased over the pliability of the fiber-containing layer alone.
CUTTING, CRIMPING AND STACKING MACHINE FOR CONICAL CORNET CONE PACKAGES
A cutting, crimping and stacking machine that is capable of performing automatically cutting, crimping and stacking conical cornet cone packages by itself.
Container with liner
A container for holding a food product. The container can comprise a flange comprising a central panel. An opening can extend in the central panel. The container further can comprise a sidewall comprising at least a panel foldably connected to the central panel and a denesting feature extending outwardly from the sidewall. The denesting feature can be for engaging a nested container positioned below the container in a stacked arrangement and for forming a denesting gap between the flange and the nested container.

Methods and a machine for forming a shelf-ready shipper display system
A machine for forming a container from a blank includes a mandrel mounted to a frame. The mandrel includes a first side, an opposite second side, and an external shape complementary to an internal shape of at least a portion of the container. The machine also includes a first presser arm, a folding arm, and a second presser arm each coupled to the frame. The first presser arm is positionable generally proximate the first side of the mandrel and is configured to wrap a first portion of the blank about the mandrel. The folding arm is positionable at least generally proximate the second side of the mandrel and is configured to wrap a second portion of the blank about the mandrel. The second presser arm is disposed generally proximate the first presser arm and is configured to wrap a third portion of the blank about the mandrel.
Multiple-mode case erector
A case erector may operate in multiple modes. In a slotted-case mode, the case erector may accept and erect slotted cases, while various plunger-case erection components are deactivated. In a plunger-case mode, the case erector may accept and erect plunger cases, while various slotted-case erection components are deactivated.
CONTAINERS, BLANKS, AND METHODS FOR DISPENSING WEB MATERIAL
Container including base portion defining compartment. Base portion includes bottom panel defining bottom of compartment, front base panel defining front of compartment and extending upwardly from bottom panel. Base portion further includes back panel extending from bottom panel to define a back of compartment, and first and second side tabs extending between bottom panel, front base panel, and back panel at opposing sides thereof to define opposing sides of compartment. Container further includes lid portion including a top panel and a front lid panel. The top panel includes an opening and an access flap moveable between an opening position and a closed position defining the opening. The access flap includes a back edge, a front edge, opposing side edges, and a first and second front protrusions, respectively. Blanks for forming such a container and methods for disposing a web material are also disclosed.
