Combination dispensing and side disposal container and method
The present invention fulfills the above and other objects by providing a combination dispensing and disposal container having a dispensing end with a dispensing opening for dispensing new items, such as facial tissue, wet wipes, candy, etc. On the side of the container is a disposal opening for accepting trash. A partition located inside of the container separates a storage compartment where new items are held from a disposal compartment where trash is held. The combination dispensing and disposal container is usable for individual personal use, provides an all-in-one convenient box for separated new items form used items, and can be used anywhere. The entirety of the combination dispensing and disposal container may be discarded into the trash or recycled upon the disposal compartment being filled with used items.
Blank and forming tool for forming a container
A blank for being formed into a container. The blank has a marginal area that includes a plurality of score lines for facilitating forming of the blank into the container. The score lines are positioned to facilitate formation of the container. A forming tool has features to facilitate forming the blank into the container.

Method and device for packaging articles
A device for automated packaging of articles, comprising a conveyor for feeding and transporting into the device a blank of corrugated cardboard, a pair of crease wheels for creating two longitudinal crease lines in the blank, a transversal blade or score applicator for successively creating four transversal crease lines in the blank as the blank is transported into the device, and opposite pressing members such as jaws of a press and/or pressing rollers, arranged symmetrically with respect to a center line of the device, whose lateral position is adjustable for their ends or tips to match the two longitudinal crease lines, and activated in a timely manner as the blank is transported into the device to crush the corrugated cardboard in the top, middle and bottom corners of the blank in order to make it easily foldable.
SLOTTER HEAD, SLOTTER APPARATUS, AND BOX MAKING MACHINE
A slotter head, a slotter apparatus, and a box making machine form a joining piece with a high degree of accuracy by each being provided with: a cutter rest; a movable block mounted in an outer peripheral portion of the cutter rest; a first cutting blade that is fixed to the movable block along a shaft direction and along a direction inclined in a circumferential direction by a predetermined angle; a first support shaft that supports, on the cutter rest, the movable block rotatably around a first shaft center along the shaft direction; and a second support shaft that supports, on the cutter rest, the movable block rotatably around a second shaft center along the circumferential direction.
RE-CLOSEABLE TEAR OPEN PACK, A BLANK FOR FORMING THE PACK, AND A METHOD OF MAKING THE PACK
The pack includes a box structure defining an inner cavity. A side of the box structure is sealed by a first adhesive. A lower end of the pack is sealed by a second adhesive connecting a rear surface of a lower panel of a front panel to a front surface of a lower glue panel of a back panel. The upper portion of the pack is circumscribed by perforated lines that cause the upper portion to remain connected to the tuck panel if the upper end of the pack is opened. The blank for forming the pack includes an upper portion of a back panel that is circumscribed by perforated lines. The method of making the pack includes applying an adhesive to the upper portion of the back panel and connecting a rear surface of a tuck panel to the upper portion.
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR FORMING REINFORCED POLYGONAL CONTAINERS FROM BLANKS
A machine for forming a container from a blank of sheet material is provided. The blank includes a reinforcing panel assembly for forming a reinforcing corner assembly. The machine includes a hopper station for storing the blank in a substantially flat configuration and a forming station for forming the blank into the container. The forming station includes an initial forming station that rotates a first portion of the reinforcing panel assembly with respect to a second portion of the reinforcing panel assembly, and a secondary forming station having male and female forming members with shapes corresponding to an interior shape and an exterior shape of the reinforcing corner assembly, respectively. The male and the female forming members are configured to form the reinforcing corner assembly by compressing together the first and second portions of the reinforcing panel assembly.
COMPOSITE STRUCTURES FOR PACKAGING ARTICLES AND RELATED METHODS
The composite structure includes a fiber-containing layer, such as a fiberboard layer or other layer having fibers from natural and/or synthetic sources, and a mineral-containing layer covering the fiber-containing layer. The fiber-containing layer and mineral-containing layer can be shaped, sized and manufactured such that the composite structure formed therefrom is capable of being machined to form a storage article. The composite structure has advantages in that it can improve whiteness, opacity, ink adhesion, materials reduction, barrier properties, recyclability, and printability. The composite can reduce polymer mass requirements for heat seal, barrier, and fiber adhesion. Further improvements include economics, pliability, and flexibility that is increased over the pliability of the fiber-containing layer alone.
CORRUGATED PAPERBOARD BOX MAKING MACHINE AND SHEET FEEDING CONTROL APPARATUS
Disclosed is a corrugated paperboard box making machine which comprises a sheet feeding apparatus, a processing apparatus, a folder-gluer, a counter-ejector for stacking the box-structured corrugated paperboard sheets and separating them as a batch, a speed setting unit for setting a sheet feeding speed, and a control apparatus. The control apparatus is operable to execute a sheet feeding control processing of the sheet feeding apparatus such that a sheet feeding operation of feeding one corrugated paperboard sheet is successively repeated a number of times corresponding to the number of the given number of box-structured corrugated paperboard sheets in the batch, and a sheet feeding stop control processing of, when the sheet feeding speed is greater than an allowable speed, the sheet feeding apparatus such that the sheet feeding operation is stopped at least once after execution of the sheet feeding control processing.
PACKAGING FOR PRODUCTS OF THE TOBACCO INDUSTRY, AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING SAME
A packaging for products of the tobacco industry, wherein the packaging has a box portion and a lid which is pivotably arranged on the box portion by means of a line hinge, and wherein a packaging content is arranged in the box portion, and wherein the packaging has a collar which at least partially surrounds the packaging content at several sides and which protrudes with the packaging content from the box portion which is open at the top. There is provision for walls of the collar to extend from a front side of the box portion up to the region of an opposing rear side of the box portion on which the line hinge is also located. A method and an apparatus for producing such a packaging.
