Forming machine for forming a box
A forming machine (2) for forming a box (60) from a blank (6) made of paper or cardboard, including a base (6a) and side panels (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) connected to the base (6a), comprises: a working zone configured to receive the blank (6); a plurality of folders (21) positioned in the working zone and configured to interact with the side panels (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) of the blank (6) to fold them and dispose them parallel to a vertical direction (V), with respective lateral borders juxtaposed to define vertical edges of the side wall of the box (60); a plurality of heads (22), including respective pressers (222) that are movable towards and away from each other, wherein each presser (222) is configured to press a respective vertical edge from the outside of the space inside the box (60).
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD BOX MAKING DEVICE, BOX MAKING METHOD, AND BOX MAKING AND PROCESSING METHOD
A cardboard box production device includes: a stocker that holds a plurality of vertically stacked folded original boxes in a cardboard box having the top and bottom thereof open; a expansion provided upstream in a conveyance direction that is substantially orthogonal to the stacking direction of the original boxes, moving one side surface of an original box away from a first side on the stocker side towards a second side, and expanding the one side surface such that openings are formed at the top and bottom; a folding-in device that folds in the bottom of an open box opened upstream in the conveyance direction; a feeding device that feeds boxes from the upstream side in the conveyance direction to the downstream side; a conveyance belt; and an adhesion device that applies an adhesive tape to the bottom of the box in the conveyance area of the conveyance belt.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FOLDING AND RETAINING BOX FLAPS
Systems and methods for folding and retaining upper flaps of a box are disclosed. The system includes a conveyor system configured to advance the box at least partially through the system. A flap folding assembly is configured to fold the upper flaps of the box to an open or outwardly folded configuration. The upper flaps are folded outwardly and down towards outer sidewall surfaces of the box in the folded configuration. A bander assembly is configured to apply a band or other restraint to the upper flaps of the box to retain the upper flaps in the folded configuration.
Method and device for sealing a joint
A method and a sealing device for sealing a joint (5; 31) between two end sides (3, 13) of two contiguous panels (1, 11). The method comprises the steps of: holding (S1) an end side (3) of a first panel (1) close to an end side (13) of a second panel (11), whereby the joint (5; 31) to be sealed is defined by the adjacent end sides (3, 13) of the two panels (1, 11); sealing (S3) the joint (5; 31) with a first and a second adhesive tape (15, 17) by providing a first tape (15) to a first face (19) of the two panels (1, 11), said first tape (15) sealing the joint (5; 31) and being provided in the direction of the joint and providing a second tape (17) to a second face (21) of the two panels (1, 11), wherein the second face (21) of the two panels (1, 11) is the opposite face to the first face (19) of the panels, said second tape (17) sealing the joint (5; 31) and being provided in the direction of the joint.
Packaging containers and related methods
The disclosed packaging containers may include a body including a sidewall and at least one top flap for at least partially covering an opening of the body when assembled and perforations in the sidewall of the body. The perforations may include a lower perforation having a first end portion and a second end portion; a first side perforation extending upward toward the top flap from the first end portion of the lower perforation; and a second side perforation extending upward from the second end portion of the lower perforation, wherein the first side perforation and the second side perforation converge toward each other as they extend upward from the lower perforation. Various other packaging containers, systems, and methods are also disclosed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ERECTING CARTONS
In erecting a carton from a knock-down carton blank, the blank is placed on a base of a bed of a shuttle such that a bottom side panel of the blank abuts the base. The bottom side panel of the blank is then gripped with a gripper of the base and a top side panel of the blank is raised while advancing the shuttle in a horizontal direction so as to open said knock-down carton blank into a carton sleeve.
