SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURING CARDBOARD BOX WITH ELECTRONIC TAG AND METHOD THEREFOR
A system of manufacturing a corrugated cardboard box to which an electronic tag is attached. The system includes: a corrugated cardboard sheet forming part that forms a corrugated cardboard sheet 14p; a blank forming part that forms a box blank 24p from the corrugated cardboard sheet; a folder gluer that assembles the box blank 24p into a flat plate-shaped corrugated cardboard box; a product stacker that stacks the flat plate-shaped corrugated cardboard box assembled in the folder gluer; and a tag sticking device that sticks the electronic tag having an adhesive portion to a surface that becomes an outer surface of a box as a workpiece by using the adhesive portion between the corrugated cardboard sheet forming part and the product stacker.

Strip splicing
The present invention concerns a method of splicing two sealing strips and a sealing strip formed by the method. The sealing strip is placed at longitudinal edges of a packaging material web, used for packaging containers for liquid foods. The sealing strips to be spliced are cut each forming an oblique edge of about 45, as seen in plan view. The oblique edges are then placed one on top of the other forming an overlapping area. The overlapping area is in the form of an oblique band having a length of about 3 mm. The ends of the sealing strips are then fused together by heating both from one side at the overlapping area.
Devices and methods for starting strip material in a substrate processing machine
Systems and methods are disclosed for starting a strip material in a substrate processing machine wherein the machine is not stopped and operators do not have to reach into the running machine to start the strip material. Exemplary systems include a strip material guide apparatus including at least one guide arm and at least one gas stream generator configured to direct strip material from the guide arm into a nip point of a substrate processing machine to join the strip material with the running substrates. The gas stream generator is operable to cause a leading end of a strip material dispensed from the guide arm to be conveyed via a gas stream toward the nip point or toward the running substrates, such that the leading end of the strip material becomes engaged by the substrate processing machine at the nip point and the strip material joins with the running substrates.
