PAPER-BASED THERMAL INSULATION POUCHES
Pouch including an insulation pad (100) including two juxtaposed cellulose-based sheets (110, 112) and a cellulose-based insulation material (120). The two juxtaposed cellulose-based sheets are laminated together with the cellulose-based insulation material located therebetween. The pouch further includes transverse fold lines (134) in the insulation pad. The pouch further includes two W-shaped folds (140) in the insulation pad. The two W-shaped folds are formed by folding the insulation pad along the transverse fold lines. Portions of a first longitudinal edge (116) of the insulation pad are coupled to each other between the two W-shaped folds in the insulation pad.
COMPOSTABLE INSULATION FOR SHIPPING CONTAINER
A thermal insulation article includes a thermally insulating pad shaped to be positioned in a cavity of a rectangular prism shipping container. The pad includes a solid compostable panel formed primarily of starch and/or plant fiber pulp that holds together as a single unit, and a water-proof or water-resistant film forming a pocket enclosing the panel. The panel includes a first section, a second section, and a third section connecting the first section to the second section, the first and second section each having a central portion and two flaps that extend from the central portion beyond the third section, and wherein the panel is foldable into an open box.
GRASPING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INSERTING SEPARATION SHEETS IN A RECEPTACLE
The invention relates to grasping system comprising a grasping head (15) for a sheet transporting device, in particular for transporting an insert sheet to be inserted between rows of folding boxes in a receptacle, the grasping head (15) having at least one support frame (80) and a plurality of aspiration elements (17, 18). The aspiration elements (17, 18) are mounted on holding elements (50) which are received on the support frame (80) so as to be displaceable with respect to the support frame (80).
Foil configuring device
A device for configuring foil for use in cooking food comprising a base portion comprising first and second portions, the second portion pivoting relative to the first portion; a first plurality of rotatable elements operatively associated with the first portion; and a second plurality of rotatable elements operatively associated with the second portion; the first portion operating to pivot relative to the second portion for entry of foil therebetween; the first and second plurality of rotatable elements operating to configure foil as the foil passes between the first and second plurality of rotatable elements.
Corner boards, container assemblies including the same, and methods of making and using the same
A corner board includes first and second sides, each including a board material; a bend between first and second sides, joining the sides together; and a slit adjacent to a first end of the corner board forming a first flap adapted to place the corner board on a container or a stack of containers or otherwise couple the corner board to horizontal and vertical surfaces of the container or stack of containers. A method of manufacturing a corner board includes bending a board stock to form first and second sides of the corner board with an angle therebetween; cutting the board stock into fixed lengths, the bent and cut board stock forming the corner board; and forming a slit near a first end of the corner board, in which the slit creates a first flap adapted to couple the corner board to a container or a stack of containers.
CUSTOM-MADE CORRUGATED EDGE PROTECTORS
A computer system for creating custom-made corrugated edge protectors receives one or more product protection variables. The system also determines one or more corrugated edge protector attributes based upon the one or more product protection variables. Additionally, the system generates a construction command that is configured to cause a packaging production machine to create a custom-made corrugated edge protector. The system also sends the construction command to the packaging production machine. The construction command causes the packaging production machine to create the custom-made corrugated edge protector.
Pop-up liner
An insulating container liner comprising a first sectioned insulating panel piece comprising an insulating material and a thermoplastic shell enclosing the insulating material, wherein the first sectioned insulating paneling piece forms the bottom, a side and top of the insulating container liner; a second sectioned insulating panel piece comprising an insulating material, and a thermoplastic shell enclosing the insulating material, wherein the second sectioned insulating paneling piece forms the remaining three sides of the insulating container liner; and a flexible outer bag housing the first and second sectioned insulating panel pieces wherein the bag is attached to the first and second sectioned insulating panel pieces.
COMBINED MACHINE TO MAKE LAMINAR SEPARATORS OF PRODUCTS CONTAINED IN BOXES AND CRATES
A combined machine to make laminar separators of products contained in boxes and crates, specially designed to make the separators made of at least two laminar sheets of paper that are bound together by an adhesive bond.
Expanded Paperboard Mesh and Combinations Incorporating the Same
An expanded paperboard mesh, for supporting an item and separating such item from an adjacent object, includes a plurality of adjacent apertures, and each aperture entire perimeter is bounded by adjacent strands. The expanded paperboard mesh support is formed by expanding a single piece of paperboard to define said plurality of adjacent apertures. A combination includes an expanded paperboard mesh supporting an item over a supporting surface.
