LAMINATE SHEET, SANITARY MATERIAL, MEDICAL MATERIAL, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LAMINATE SHEET
A laminate sheet includes a water-vapor permeable polyurethane film having a hard segment phase and a first spunbond nonwoven fabric disposed at one side in a thickness direction of the water-vapor permeable polyurethane film. The first spunbond nonwoven fabric contains stretchable fibers containing a thermoplastic polyurethane and non-stretchable fibers containing a polyolefin. The melting point of the hard segment phase is 65□ or more and 140□ or less.
COMPOSITE SHEET MATERIAL
Provided is a composite sheet material including a nonwoven fabric having an outer exterior surface comprising a plurality of discreet, spaced-apart projections extending outwardly from the exterior surface. Collectively, the spaced-apart projections define a three-dimensional topography characterized by the plurality of spaced-apart projections and valleys disposed therebetween. The composite sheet material is particularly useful as a wiper instrument.
INSTALLATION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SINGLE- OR MULTI-LAYER NONWOVEN
The invention relates to an installation and a method for selectively producing a single- or multi-ply nonwoven includes an inclined wire former configured to deposit a sheet of wet-laid fibre material on a first circulating belt, a further belt configured to receive the sheet of wet-laid fibre material from the first circulating belt, a roller card arranged downstream in the material transport direction and configured to introduce a roller card web into the installation, a hydroentanglement arranged downstream in the material transport direction and including at least one water beam configured to entangle, bond and/or structure a single sheet of fibres or a plurality of sheets of fibres, and a dryer arranged downstream in the material transport direction.
A NEW MULTI-LAYER INTERLINING AND THE PRODUCTION PROCESS THEREOF
Disclosed is a new multi-layer nonwoven interlining and the production process thereof. The process allows a multi-layer nonwoven interlining to be obtained simultaneously with a single process on a single production line. The process includes a fiber opening step, a fiber feeding step, a carding step, a levelling step of the additional layer by the thermal treatment, and a point bonding step of the carded web and additional layer. As a result of the process, a structure is obtained where the carded web is point-bonded onto the additional layer.
Nonwoven material with high core bicomponent fibers
Nonwoven materials having at least one layer comprising high core bicomponent fibers are provided. The nonwoven materials can have multiple layers and are suitable for use in a variety of applications, including in absorbent products. Such nonwoven materials can be patterned to create a three-dimensional topography including indentations formed of valleys and ridges. The nonwoven materials can have improved resiliency and strength and can retain their structure under wetted conditions and after tension and compression. The nonwoven materials can further facilitate the transfer of the liquid through the nonwoven material for improved liquid distribution and can also have improved liquid retention properties.
KITS AND KIT COMPONENTS AND METHODS OF USING KITS AND KIT COMPONENTS TO DISPOSE OF LIQUID RADIOACTIVE MEDICAL WASTE
Methods of disposing of liquid radioactive medical waste are disclosed. The methods relate to depositing liquid radioactive medical waste into or onto a substrate that includes (a)(i) fibers, or (ii) both fibers and foam, and (b) activated carbon. The substrate adsorbs liquid radioactive medical waste to facilitate safe disposal of liquid radioactive medical waste.
Waste disposal substrates are also disclosed. The waste disposal substrates include (a) at least one layer of fibers, (b) at least one layer containing activated carbon; and (c) at least one layer containing superabsorbent particles. Methods of using waste disposal substrates are also disclosed. Methods of using a waste disposal substrate may include contacting a waste disposal substrate with a liquid fluid, the waste disposal substrate containing: (a) at least one layer of fibers, (b) at least one layer containing activated carbon; and (c) at least one layer containing superabsorbent particles. The liquid fluid, or a component of the liquid fluid, is collected, dissolved, adsorbed, inactivated, destroyed, and/or disposed of within the waste disposal substrate.
COMPOSTABLE LID FOR SEALING A BEVERAGE CAPSULE OR A BEVERAGE PAD AND CAPSULES AND PADS SEALED THEREWITH
This invention relates a compostable lid for sealing a beverage capsule or a beverage pad wherein the lid comprises a natural-fiber based support obtainable by: (i) providing a first fibrous base sheet comprising natural fiber material sensitive to a gelatinizing agent; (ii) treating the first base sheet with a gelatinizing agent to give a treated first fibrous base sheet comprising gelatinized material; (iii) providing a second fibrous base sheet; (iv) contacting the treated first fibrous base sheet and the second base sheet with each other; (v) causing at least partial migration of the gelatinized material from the treated first fibrous base sheet into the second fibrous base sheet to give a multilayer product; and (vi) neutralizing and/or washing the product thus obtained and then drying it.
UNCOATED NONWOVEN FIBER MAT
An uncoated nonwoven fibrous mat having a reduced air porosity is disclosed comprising a first plurality of fibers having a length between about 10 mm and 20 mm and an average diameter between about 9 μm and 15 μm; a second plurality of fibers having a length between about 3 mm and 8 mm and an average diameter between about 5 μm and 8 μm; and a binder composition. The uncoated nonwoven fibrous mat has an air porosity less than about 550 CFM.
HYBRID SIDE RAIL ASSEMBLIES AND MATTRESSES INCLUDING THE SAME
A side rail assembly and a mattress assembly including the side rail assembly about at least a portion of a perimeter of the mattress assembly. The side rail assembly includes a laminate structure including one or more foam layers and one or more fiber layers in a stacked arrangement. The fiber layer can be a non-woven layer.
MOULDING MATERIAL
The present invention is concerned with a moulding material comprising: a) A primary non-woven fibre layer; b) A secondary non-woven fibre layer, and c) A resin layer; wherein the resin layer bonds the secondary non-woven fibre layer to a first surface of the primary non-woven fibre layer, and the resin layer is exposed on the second surface of the primary non-woven layer.
