Low adsorption sealant film, laminated body, and packaging bag

The invention provides a sealant film that is less likely to adsorb components formed of various types of organic compounds, has excellent heat sealing characteristics at 140° C., while having low heat sealing strength at 100° C. and being less likely for heat sealing layers to adhere to each other even when the film is used as a packaging bag and the content thereof is warmed in boiling water. The sealant film has at least one heat sealing layer consisting of a polyester component, wherein a heat sealing strength of the heat sealing layer being heat sealed to another heat sealing layer at 100° C. and 0.2 MPa for 2 seconds is 0-5 N/15 mm and at 140° C. and 0.2 MPa for 2 seconds is 8-30 N/15 mm, and a film density including all layers is 1.20 or more and less than 1.39.

Highly-filled polyurethane composites with fiber reinforcement

Composite panels and methods of preparation are described herein. In some embodiments, the composite panel can include a first fiber reinforcement, a polyurethane composite having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, wherein the first surface is in contact with the first fiber reinforcement; and a cementitious material adjacent the first fiber reinforcement opposite the polyurethane composite. The polyurethane composite can be formed from (i) one or more isocyanates selected from the group consisting of diisocyanates, polyisocyanates, and mixtures thereof, (ii) one or more polyols, and (iii) a particulate filler. The fiber reinforcement can be formed from a woven or non-woven material, such as glass fibers. The composite panel can further include a material, such as a second fiber reinforcement and a cementitious layer, in contact with the second surface of the polyurethane composite. Articles comprising the composite panels are also disclosed.

Multilayer film with increased surface roughness and method of making the same

The present invention relates to a multilayer film including at least one film surface which has an increased surface roughness achieved by protrusion creating particles. The at least one film surface may have a surface roughness characterized by a coefficient of roughness (CR) of ≥0.02 or a Parker Print Surf roughness of at least 2 μm.

A multilayer structure includes a layer of a resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and a thermoplastic elastomer, wherein a mass ratio of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer to the thermoplastic elastomer is from 65/35 to 95/5 and the layer of the resin composition has one surface directly adjacent to a layer of polyolefin with no polar functional group. A multilayer structure is thus provided that is excellent in gas barrier properties, transparency, and flexibility and also has good delamination properties between the layer of the resin composition and the layer of the polyolefin with no polar functional group.

A resin-integrated fiber sheet 1 for vacuum forming for producing a fiber reinforced resin molded body through vacuum forming includes: unidirectional continuous fibers 2 that are spread fibers of a continuous fiber group and arrayed in parallel in one direction; bridging fibers 3 lying in directions crossing the unidirectional continuous fibers 2; and thermoplastic resin 4 present on part of the surface of the unidirectional continuous fibers 2 to unify the unidirectional continuous fibers 2 and the bridging fibers 3. A fiber reinforced resin molded body of the present invention is a vacuum formed body in which two or more of the resin-integrated fiber sheets 1 are stacked. A method for producing the molded body of the present invention includes subjecting the resin-integrated fiber sheets 1 to vacuum forming from a lower mold with a vacuum line and pressurizing the sheets with compressed air from an upper mold. Thus, the present invention provides a resin-integrated fiber sheet for vacuum forming having excellent shapeability and avoiding voids, a molded body including the same, and a method for producing the molded body including the same.
