Multilayer structure and use of same
A multilayer structure includes a layer of a resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and a thermoplastic elastomer, wherein a mass ratio of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer to the thermoplastic elastomer is from 65/35 to 95/5 and the layer of the resin composition has one surface directly adjacent to a layer of polyolefin with no polar functional group. A multilayer structure is thus provided that is excellent in gas barrier properties, transparency, and flexibility and also has good delamination properties between the layer of the resin composition and the layer of the polyolefin with no polar functional group.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL LAMINATES
The present disclosure relates to compositions, laminates, films and/or composites made from polymers, such as thermoplastic polyurethane (“TPU”). The films have one or more optical layers made from materials that allow the transmission of visible light and reflect or absorb UV light. A composite having an infrared (“IR”) cutoff layer, and a polymer layer desirably having an ultraviolet (“UV”) absorber is disposed between layers of glass or artificial glass, combined with polycarbonate (“PC”) or polyethylene terephalate (“PET”) layers.
High-resistance waterproofing composition and products made using same
The invention relates to a waterproofing composition with high resistance to different weather conditions and improved insulating and anti-impact properties and which is easy to apply and more durable, and to materials based on same. The composition comprises acrylic resins, water, polymeric particulates and additives.
Slip-resistant floor coverings
The invention provides a synthetic slip-resistant floor-covering material comprising a layer of synthetic material which contains one or more degradable polymeric particles wherein the one or more degradable polymeric particles comprise: (a) one or more hard degradable polymeric particles which have a hardness which is greater than the hardness of the layer of synthetic material; and optionally (b) one or more soft degradable polymeric particles which have a hardness which is the same as or less than the hardness of the layer of synthetic material; and wherein the one or more hard degradable polymeric particles comprise one or more exposed hard degradable polymeric particles which are exposed at an upper surface of the synthetic floor-covering material to provide slip-resistance; and a method of preparing a synthetic floor-covering which method comprises the steps of: Providing a layer of synthetic material; Applying the one or more degradable polymeric particles to the layer of synthetic material; and Applying pressure to the layer of synthetic material to ensure that the one or more degradable polymeric particles are incorporated into the layer of synthetic material.
Release liner and method for producing the same
A release liner and a method for producing the same are provided. The release liner includes a resin base layer and two resin release layers. The resin base layer has two surfaces opposite to each other. The two resin release layers are respectively formed on the two surfaces of the resin base layer. Each of the resin release layers includes: a non-polar resin material and a polar resin material. In each of the resin release layers, the polar resin material is dispersed in the non-polar resin material in a plurality of granular forms, an average particle size of the polar resin material ranges from 0.1 μm to 10 μm, and a content of the polar resin material in the resin release layer ranges from 10 wt % to 50 wt %, so that a surface roughness (Ra) of the resin release layer ranges from 0.1 μm to 10 μm.
Polyurethane article and methods of making the same
Articles are provided including at least one polyurethane prepared from: (a) about 1 equivalent of at least one polyisocyanate; (b) about 0.005 to about 0.35 equivalent of at least one polycaprolactone polyol; (c) about 0.01 to about 1.0 equivalent of at least one polyol selected from the group consisting of ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, 1,2-ethanediol, propanediol, butanediol, pentanediol, hexanediol, heptanediol, octanediol, nonanediol, decanediol, dodecane diol, octadecanediol, cyclopentanediol, 1,4-cyclohexanediol, cyclohexanedimethanol, 1,4-benzenedimethanol, xylene glycol, hydroxybenzyl alcohol, dihydroxytoluene, bis(2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate, 1,4-bis(hydroxyethyl)piperazine, N,N′,bis(2-hydroxyethyl)oxamide and mixtures thereof; and (d) about 0.01 to about 0.5 equivalent of at least one polyol selected from the group consisting of glycerol, tetramethylolmethane, trimethylolethane, trimethylolpropane, erythritol, pentaerythritol, dipentaerythritol, tripentaerythritol, sorbitan, and mixtures thereof, each based upon the about 1 equivalent of the at least one polyisocyanate, wherein the article has a Gardner Impact strength of at least about 400 in-lb according to ASTM D-5420-04.
