20220322768 · 2022-10-13 ·

Described herein is an antiviral face mask and methods of use thereof to inactivate a virus in contact with the face mask. The face mask may include a fibrous material with silicon nitride powder impregnated therein and a layer surrounding the fibrous material. In some embodiments, silicon nitride is present in the fibrous material at a concentration of about 30 wt. % to about 50 wt. %.

ANTIMICROBIAL MULTILAYER STRETCH-WRAP AND METHOD TO PRODUCE THE SAME
20230180766 · 2023-06-15 ·

A multilayer antimicrobial stretch plastic wrap, comprising at least three layers, wherein at least one layers comprising multiple metal compound particles integrated into said layer material, and wherein said at least one layer is not the central layer of the wrap and wherein, said at least one layer is proximal to an outer surface of the wrap than to the center of the wrap.

BOPP Film and Method of Making the Same

Multi-layer films and labels are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, a multi-layer film comprises a first skin layer, a first intermediate layer, a core layer, a second intermediate layer, and a second skin layer arranged sequentially, wherein the core layer has a thickness that is greater than thickness of the first or the second intermediate layers or the skin layer, wherein the core layer includes polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) particles disposed therein, wherein the amount of PBT particles ranges from about 5 to about 10 percent by weight (wt %), based on the total weight of the core layer, wherein the multi-layer film has a thickness ranging from about 25 microns to about 45 microns, wherein the core layer has a thickness ranging from about 20 microns to about 40 microns.

Polyamide Nonwovens in Sound Absorbing Multi-Layer Composites

A sound absorbing multi-layer composite for a vehicle that reduces sounds along an acoustic path is configured with a non-foam polymeric layer and a face layer for dissipating sound energy. Also, the face layer may be made of a nonwoven polymer comprising at least 60% of a polyamide containing an aliphatic diamine having 6 or more carbon atoms and an aliphatic diacid having 6 or more carbon atoms. The weighted overall average fiber diameter of the composite is from 2 microns to 25 microns.
