The TPU adhering layer is disposed on the TPU substrate. The TPU surface layer is disposed on the TPU adhering layer. All materials of the innovative leather of the present disclosure are the same TPU materials, thus the innovative leather of the present disclosure can be recycled after the innovative leather of the present disclosure is used. The innovative leather of the present disclosure has recycling benefit.
Needle-punched structures containing recycled fibers
Textiles are re-cycled by grinding and scatter-laying onto a needle-punched web optionally containing low-melting material, followed by laying a second needle-punched web over the scattered layer and re-needling the three layers before applying heat or heat and pressure to activate the low-melting ground material present within the layers. Additional low-melt ground material is optionally blended into the ground textile if low melt components are absent or insufficient to bond the composite. The ground material is driven and dispersed into the surrounding web layers with at least part of the material being adjacent the two outer surfaces. The physical properties of the composite can be adjusted by selecting suitable combinations including but not limited to needling stroke depth, needling density, needle gage, low-melt content, heat finishing conditions, and relative layer weights. The final composites can optionally be reintroduced into the original end use and include significant percentages of recycled material.
MULTILAYER CONTAINER, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RECLAIMED POLYESTER
Provided is a multilayer container including: a polyester layer containing a polyester resin (X); and a polyamide layer containing a polyamide resin (Y) and a yellowing inhibitor (A). The content of the polyamide resin (Y) is from 0.05 to 7.0 mass % relative to a total amount of all polyamide layers and all polyester layers, and the content of the yellowing inhibitor (A) is from 1 to 30 ppm relative to the total amount of all polyamide layers and all polyester layers. Also provided are a method for manufacturing the multilayer container, and a method for manufacturing a recycled polyester, the method thereof including a step of recovering polyester from the multilayer container.
Sound protection panel for cladding a wall of an automotive vehicle
The invention relates to a sound protection panel for cladding a wall of an automotive vehicle, the panel includes a mass-spring system. The panel has a lower spring layer based on a resiliently compressible material, an upper mass layer based on resiliently compressible foam flakes, the flakes being bound together by a two-component fibre-based bonding agent comprising a core. The core is fusible at a high temperature or infusible, and a sheath fusible at a lower temperature, the flakes being fused with the sheath to form an upper agglomerated layer.
Multilayer structures having improved recyclability
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to multilayer structures. The multilayer structures may include a first layer and a barrier layer. The first layer may include, based on the total weight of the first layer, from 90 wt. % to 99.5 wt. % of an ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer having a density of from 0.945 g/cc to 0.970 g/cc and from 0.5 wt. % to 10 wt. % of a compatibilizer. The compatibilizer may include an anhydride and/or carboxylic acid functionalized ethylene/alpha-olefin elastomer having a density of from 0.850 g/cc to 0.910 g/cc and a melt viscosity of greater than 200,000 cP, when measured at 177 C.
METHOD FOR COMPOSITE DELAMINATION
The invention provides a method for delaminating a composite by immersing the composite into a delamination solution; wherein the composite comprises a metal substrate and a coating applied on one side or both sides of the metal substrate, wherein the coating comprises a polymeric binder; and wherein the polymeric binder comprises an aqueous copolymer. The use of delamination solution comprising a weak base allows for complete delamination of the composite in a highly efficient and extremely fast manner. Furthermore, the delamination method disclosed herein circumvents complex separation processes, contamination and corrosion of the metal substrate and enables an excellent materials recovery. An application of the method for delaminating an electrode for a battery is disclosed herein.
