MULTILAYER COMPOSITE PIPE AND PIPE ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING REFLECTIVE INSULATION
One aspect of the invention provides a composite refrigeration line set including at least one selected from the group consisting of: a suction line and a return line, characterized in that one or more of the suction line and the return line are a composite refrigeration line set tube include: an inner plastic tube; a first adhesive layer positioned about the inner plastic tube; an aluminum layer positioned about the first adhesive layer and coupled to the inner plastic tube via the first adhesive layer; a second adhesive layer positioned about the aluminum layer; and an outer plastic layer positioned about the aluminum layer coupled to the aluminum layer via the second adhesive layer. The inner plastic tube is polyethylene of raised temperature. The outer plastic tube is polyethylene of raised temperature. The aluminum layer comprises AL 3005-O.
Disposable surgical gown
A disposable surgical gown is provided. The gown includes a front panel and sleeves formed from a first spunbond layer, a nonwoven (e.g., SMS) laminate, and a liquid impervious, moisture vapor breathable elastic film disposed therebetween. The gown also includes a first and second rear panels formed from a nonwoven laminate that is air breathable and allows for an air volumetric flow rate ranging from about 20 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) to about 80 scfm. The gown further includes a collar formed from an air breathable knit material positioned adjacent a proximal end of the gown. The collar defines a neck opening having a v-neck shape adjacent the front panel. The v-neck shape forms an angle of greater than 90° at the neck opening. The combination of features results in a reduced-glare gown that is stretchable and impervious to liquids, yet can still dissipate heat and humidity.
IR-reflective ink, film, and tape
The present application is drawn to infrared reflective ink formulations, infrared reflective dried coatings prepared from such inks, and IR-reflective substrates and adhesive tapes prepared from such inks and coatings. The inks are suitable for printing by gravure or flexo methods onto polymeric substrates such as PET, paper, or other substrate materials. The coatings are reflective in the near-infrared range. The coatings and tapes are well suited for use in manufacturing methods. The coatings and/or the tapes are ultrathin, on the order of a few micrometers, making them attractive for use in different industrial applications.
HIGH MODULUS, HIGH THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY RADIATIVE PASSIVE COOLANT
A polymer bilayer includes a layer of a porous fluoropolymer directly overlying a layer of polyethylene. The polyethylene layer may be porous or dense and may include an ultra-high molecular weight polymer. The polymer bilayer may be co-integrated with structures (e.g., wearable devices) exposed to high thermal loads (>0-1000 W/m.sup.2) and provide passive cooling thereof. For instance, passive cooling of AR/VR glasses under different solar loads may be achieved by a polymer bilayer that is both highly reflective across solar heating wavelengths and highly emissive in the long-wavelength infrared. The high reflectance decreases energy absorption across the solar spectrum while the high emissivity promotes radiative heat transfer to the surroundings.

Decorative print member and display device including the same
A decorative print member and a display device including the decorative print member are provided. The decorative print member includes a base layer, a first decorative print pattern disposed on the base layer, and a shielding layer disposed over the first decorative print pattern. The first decorative print pattern includes a first decorative print layer disposed on the base layer, and a second decorative print layer disposed on the first decorative print layer. The shielding layer covers upper and side surfaces of the second decorative print layer, and a side surface of the first decorative print layer protrudes outwardly from the side surface of the second decorative print layer and a side surface of the shielding layer.
Vehicular rearview mirror assembly
A vehicular rearview mirror assembly includes an electrochromic reflective element having front and rear glass substrates with an electrochromic medium disposed therebetween. The front glass substrate includes a specularly reflective perimeter layer at least partially around a perimeter border region of the rear side of the front glass substrate. At least one light source is disposed behind the perimeter layer. With the vehicular rearview mirror assembly mounted at the vehicle and when the at least one light source is electrically powered, the at least one light source emits light that passes through the perimeter border region of the second side of the front glass substrate and that is visible to a viewer viewing the first side of the front glass substrate of the electrochromic reflective element at the perimeter layer.
ULTRAVIOLET-C RADIATION-PROTECTIVE FILMS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Ultraviolet-C (UV-C) radiation shielding films including a substrate made of a fluoropolymer, a multilayer optical film disposed on a major surface of the substrate, and a heat-sealable encapsulant layer disposed on a major surface of the multilayer optical film opposite the substrate. The multilayer optical film is made of at least a multiplicity of alternating first and second optical layers collectively reflecting at an incident light angle of at least one of 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, or 75°, at least 30 percent of incident ultraviolet light over at least a 30-nanometer wavelength reflection bandwidth in a wavelength range from at least 100 nanometers to 280 nanometers. The ultraviolet light shielding film may be applied to a major surface of a photovoltaic device, such as a component of a satellite or an unmanned aerial vehicle. Methods of making the UV-C radiation-protective films also are disclosed.
