Multilayer films and methods of making the same
Disclosed are multilayer films with at least one MDO substrate.
Multilayer composite material and method for manufacturing
The invention relates to a structural multilayer composite comprising a layer of leather in contact with at least one monolayer comprising parallel aligned fibers and a matrix material. The composite may further comprise film layer(s) that may be breathable and/or waterproof. The structural multilayer composite material is suitable for use in clothing and outdoor gear and apparel.
High temperature capable braze assembly
The present invention relates to an article comprising a ceramic substrate (310) comprising a source of zirconium oxide; a metallic substrate (320); and a braze joint disposed between the ceramic substrate and the metallic substrate. The braze joint comprises (i) a gold rich phase (330) interfacing against a surface of the ceramic substrate. The gold rich phase comprises a refractory metal selected from the group consisting of molybdenum, tungsten, niobium, tantalum and combinations thereof; and (ii) a second metallic phase (340) comprising a metal selected form the group consisting of nickel, iron, vanadium, cobalt, chromium, osmium, tantalum or combinations thereof.
Composite fabric hat stringers having interleafed tape plies
A composite hat stringer for stiffening a panel includes a plurality of composite fabric plies arranged to form a cap, a pair of flanges and a pair of webs respectively connecting the cap with the pair of flanges. The cap includes at least one 0° composite tape ply interleafed in the composite fabric plies within the cap.
Sailcloth with fail-safe properties
A sailcloth including a woven fabric of a first fiber material and a second fiber material woven into it, in which the second fiber material forms a network structure within the woven fabric, with the second fiber material having a higher tearing resistance than the first fiber material and with the second fiber having a sliding ability within the woven fabric.
FILMS MADE OF POLYETHYLENE BLENDS FOR IMPROVED BENDING STIFFNESS AND HIGH MD TEAR RESISTANCE
Provided herein are monolayer films, and also multilayer films comprising a core, a subskin disposed on the core, and a skin disposed on the subskin. The films may have an Elmendorf tear in MD greater than about 7.0 g/μm, a dart impact greater than about 6.0 g/μm, and a 1% secant modulus greater than about 200 MPa. In multilayer films, the core comprises a first polyethylene blend comprising an ethylene 1-hexene copolymer and a high density polyethylene composition in an amount between about 0 wt. % and about 40 wt. %. Further provided herein are bags and laminates comprising the present films.
Adhesive sheet
In an embodiment, an adhesive sheet has an expandable adhesive layer 2 on one side or both sides of a base 1, wherein the expandable adhesive layer 2 contains an epoxy resin including a polyfunctional epoxy resin, a phenol resin as a curing agent, an imidazole-based compound as a curing catalyst, and a temperature-sensitive foaming agent. The adhesive sheet has properties in good balance, such as fast curability, heat resistance, and adhesiveness, and also excellent properties such as thermal conductivity attributed to a good filling property.
MULTILAYER FILM STRUCTURE
An all polyethylene multilayer film structure having alternating layers of (A) a linear low density polyethylene and (B) a high density polyethylene has improved performance properties relative to a film structure in which the (A) and (B) layers are arranged in a block like or random manner.
Acoustic fibrous decoupler
Moulded three-dimensional noise attenuating trim part for a vehicle, comprising at least a three layer system consisting of a first porous fibrous layer and a second porous fibrous layer and an air permeable intermediate film layer situated between the first and second porous fibrous layers and wherein the adjacent surfaces within the three layer system are interconnected, wherein the second porous fibrous layer has an area weight AW2 that is varying over the surface and wherein at least for areas of the three layer system with a total thickness t between 5 and 35 mm, the area weight AW2 relates to the total thickness t of the three layer system as following 25*t+175<AW2<45*t+475 wherein t is in mm and AW2 is in g.Math.m−2 and wherein the area weight AW2 of the second porous fibrous layer is increasing with increasing total thickness t of the three layer system.
Fabric Reinforced Traction Mat
A traction mat wherein the foam is reinforced with a layer of fabric or fiber between the CLCC foam layer and the substrate or underlying surface. The layering is preferably a first foam layer and a fabric layer impregnated with a pressure sensitive adhesive. This prevents the CLCC foam from being bonded directly to the substrate and allows the fabric/fiber to support the CLCC foam such that the entire assembly can be removed in one piece without the CLCC foam disintegrating. The introduction of the reinforcing fabric and/or fiber layer eliminates any residual CLCC foam from being bonded to the substrate. Consequently, the traction mat can be easily lifted away and removed.
