Laminate assembly with embedded conductive alloy elements
A laminate assembly includes a matrix layer and elongated, continuous strips of a conductive alloy. The matrix layer has opposite first and second sides connected by opposite first and second edges. Each of the first and second edges extends from the first side of the matrix layer to the opposite second side of the matrix layer. The elongated, continuous strips of the conductive alloy are disposed in the matrix layer between the first and second sides of the matrix layer. The elongated continuous strips continuously extend through the matrix layer from the first edge to the opposite second edge.
Partial coverage multilayer damping laminate
Provided herein are multilayer damping laminates comprising at least one constraining layer and at least one discontinuous damping layer. At least one discontinuous damping layer comprises one or more damping material regions and one or more gap regions, wherein the percent coverage of at least one discontinuous damping layer by one or more damping material regions is less than 99%. Also provided are systems and methods using the multilayer damping laminates.
ARTICLE HAVING A ONE-LAYER OR MULTI-LAYER MAIN BODY WITH ELASTIC PROPERTIES, METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ARTICLE AND USE OF ALUMINIUM HYDROXIDE AS REINFORCING FILLER IN A RUBBER MIXTURE
The invention relates to an article, more particularly an air spring bellows, having a one-layer or multi-layer main body with elastic properties, at least one layer of the main body being made up of a rubber mixture, a carbon black proportion of at least one carbon black, more particularly a total carbon black proportion of all carbon blacks, of the rubber mixture being less than 5 phr. The rubber mixture preferably contains aluminium hydroxide as a reinforcing filler. The rubber mixture can comprise chloroprene rubber as a base polymer.
ENERGY DAMPENING SYSTEMS
Energy dampening and/or dispersing systems may include a gel member having a top surface and a bottom surface, an aerated gel member having a top surface and a bottom surface, and the top surface of the aerated gel member secured to the bottom surface of the gel member. In some embodiments, the energy dampening and/or dispersing systems may include a support structure secured to the gel member, and a cover extending over the top surface of the support structure and the bottom surface of the aerated gel member. The energy dampening and/or dispersing systems may be operable in ballistic garments, footwear, sporting goods, and vehicles.
FOOTWEAR PLATE
A method of forming a plate for an article of footwear is disclosed. The method includes applying a first strand portion to a base layer including positioning adjacent segments of the first strand portion to form a first layer on the base layer. The adjacent segments of the first strand portion having a greater density across a width of the plate between a medial side and a lateral side at a forefoot region of the plate than at a midfoot region of the plate and at a heel region of the plate. The method also includes applying at least one of heat and pressure to the first strand portion and to the base layer to conform the first strand portion and the base layer to a predetermined shape.
PROCESS FOR RECYCLING OF BONDED ARTICLES
A method is described for debonding a bonded article. The bonded article comprises at least two components which are bonded to one another by means of a polyurethane adhesive selected from aqueous polyurethane dispersion adhesives and polyurethane hotmelt adhesives. At least one of the components is a thermoplastic polyurethane. The components are debonded by treatment with an aqueous surfactant composition at elevated temperatures.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL LAMINATE
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a composite material laminate excellent in impact resistance and vibration damping property. The present disclosure is a composite material laminate including a metal substrate, an adhesive layer formed on a surface of the metal substrate, and a foamed body layer formed on a surface of the adhesive layer, wherein a shear fracture strength (S) at an interface between the metal substrate and the adhesive layer is 1.0 MPa or more, and (S/F) determined by dividing the shear fracture strength (S) at the interface by a bending elastic modulus (F) of the foamed body layer is 0.007 or more and 0.5 or less.
Structure with selectively variable stiffness
A stiffness control and systems for the same are disclosed herein. A first plate and a second plate can be connected with rigid support, a hydraulic actuator and a high roughness surface. Upon actuation, the actuator can force the high roughness surface against the first plate, thus increasing rigidity through hydraulic pressure against the first plate and the second plate. Thus, the stiffness of the surface can be altered in a variable and reversible fashion.
Support garment
Aspects herein provide for a support garment having a vibration damping structure that is positioned between the breast contacting surfaces of the support garment. The vibration damping structure has a shape and/or material characteristics that enable it to substantially fill the space defined by a medial aspect of the wearer's breasts and the wearer's sternum. This positioning and placement facilitate the damping structure's ability to absorb and dissipate impact forces generated at least through the medial-to-lateral movement of the wearer's breasts during, for example, athletic activities.
Pet resistant engineered hardwood floor and method of making
A floor plank having a rigid, composite core having an upper side and a underside, the core being thermally stable and formed of PVC and calcium carbonate material that does not include ortho-phthalates, a wood veneer having a lower surface on the upper side of the core and further including an exposed surface, a protective coating on the exposed surface of the wood veneer, the protective coating formed of catalyzed polyurethane having aluminum oxide particles, and a thermo-acoustic cushion coating on the back surface of the core. A method of making is also provided.
