The invention relates to a laminate comprising a first layer and a second layer directly covering the first layer, the first layer being a layer of a silicone rubber composition comprising a micrometric silicone powder and a mixture of crosslinkable organopolysiloxanes, the second layer being a layer of a silicone rubber composition comprising a hydrophobic silica and a mixture of crosslinkable organopolysiloxanes, the first layer and the second layer being crosslinked. The laminate, in particular when it is used as a coating for the outer surface of an expandable bladder for a tyre curing mould, makes it possible to eliminate moulding defects on the inner liner of the tyre.

MULTILAYER BODY AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENT FORMED OF SAME

A laminate body including a base material and a flat silicone sealing layer adhered thereto, generally without any voids, is provided. Also provided is a curable hot melt silicone composition layer with a particular curable hot melt silicone composition, providing a laminate body that does not readily cause stress on a substrate after the curable hot melt silicone composition is cured. A laminate body comprises a base material, and a curable hot melt silicone composition layer in contact with the base material. The curable hot melt silicone composition includes an organopolysiloxane resin containing siloxane units selected from a group containing T units or Q units making up at least 20 mol % or more of all siloxane units. The curable hot melt silicone composition generally has a melt viscosity as measured using a flow tester at a pressure of 2.5 MPa and at 100° C. of 5,000 Pa.Math.s or less.

MULTILAYER RIBLET APPLIQUE AND METHODS OF PRODUCING THE SAME

Multilayer riblet applique and methods of producing the same are described herein. One disclosed example method includes applying a first high elongation polymer material to a web tool, where the web tool is to be provided from a first roll, and heating, via a first heating process, the first high elongation polymer material. The disclosed example method also includes applying a second high elongation polymer material to the first high elongation polymer material, and heating, via a second heating process, the second high elongation polymer material. The disclosed example method also includes applying, via a laminating roller, a support layer to the second high elongation polymer material.

FULLY-ADHERED ROOF SYSTEM ADHERED AND SEAMED WITH A COMMON ADHESIVE

A roof system comprising a roof substrate, a first membrane including first and second opposed planar surfaces, and a second membrane including opposed first and second planar surfaces, where said second membrane is adhered to said roof substrate through an adhesive disposed on said roof-substrate contacting portion of the first membrane, and where said second membrane is adhered to said first membrane through said adhesive disposed on a lap portion of said second membrane.

ENCAPSULATION FILM

An encapsulation film, an organic electronic device comprising the same, and a method for manufacturing an organic electronic device using the same are provided. The encapsulation film has excellent reliability that allows forming a structure capable of blocking moisture or oxygen flowing into an organic electronic device from the outside, absorbs and disperses the stress according to panel bending caused by CTE mismatch, and overcomes the performance decrease due to reliability degradation, while preventing generation of bright spots in the organic electronic device.

Method of making a multilayered elastomeric article

Elastomeric articles, such as gloves, made from more than one layer, are provided. The gloves can include a first (grip side) layer in which a first colorant is compounded or integrated and a second (donning side) layer in which a second colorant is compounded or integrated. Alternatively, the gloves can include a translucent first layer and a second layer in which a colorant is compounded or integrated. Either arrangement can enable a breach of the first layer to be more easily detected, either due to the high level of contrast between the first layer and the second when a first colorant and a second colorant are utilized, or due to the translucence of the first layer as compared to the donning side layer, where the intensity of the second layer is increased upon a breach of the translucent first layer.

ARTICLE HAVING A ONE-LAYER OR MULTI-LAYER MAIN BODY WITH ELASTIC PROPERTIES, METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ARTICLE AND USE OF ALUMINIUM HYDROXIDE AS REINFORCING FILLER IN A RUBBER MIXTURE

The invention relates to an article, more particularly an air spring bellows, having a one-layer or multi-layer main body with elastic properties, at least one layer of the main body being made up of a rubber mixture, a carbon black proportion of at least one carbon black, more particularly a total carbon black proportion of all carbon blacks, of the rubber mixture being less than 5 phr. The rubber mixture preferably contains aluminium hydroxide as a reinforcing filler. The rubber mixture can comprise chloroprene rubber as a base polymer.

COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

A composite material includes a fiber and a structure including a plurality of carbon nanotubes and having a network structure in which the carbon nanotubes are in direct contact with each other and in which the carbon nanotubes directly adhere to a surface of the fiber. The carbon nanotubes have a bent shape including a bent portion.

Structure with selectively variable stiffness

A stiffness control and systems for the same are disclosed herein. A first plate and a second plate can be connected with rigid support, a hydraulic actuator and a high roughness surface. Upon actuation, the actuator can force the high roughness surface against the first plate, thus increasing rigidity through hydraulic pressure against the first plate and the second plate. Thus, the stiffness of the surface can be altered in a variable and reversible fashion.
