METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING ELASTIC LAMINATES
A method for producing elastic laminates includes gripping first and second continuous elastic films in respective gripping zones by respective first and second stretching members, transversely stretching the first and second continuous elastic films by rotating said first and second stretching members about respective first and second axes of rotation inclined with respect to each other, and releasing the transversely stretched first and second continuous elastic films from the respective first and second stretching members in respective release zones aligned along a common transverse release line.
Non-Blocking Multilayer Elastic Composition
An elastomeric composition, including at least one skin layer and a core layer, with non-blocking properties such that the elastomeric composition can be wound is provided. The core layer includes an elastomer, and the skin layer includes an elastomer, which may be the same or different from the core layer, and a non-elastic polyolefin. Further, the skin layer can be present as a small portion of the total elastomeric composition, and may maintain the elastic efficiency of the composition.
FILMS AND SHEETS HAVING MICROLAYERS AND NANOLAYERS INCLUDING RECYCLED CONTENT
A polymeric film, sheet, or extrusion coating is formed as a multilayered structure having at least one A layer and at least one B layer. The polymeric film, sheet, or extrusion coating is able to include at least 30% recycled content resin while also exhibiting improved stiffness and strength relative to films with purely virgin polymers. One embodiment of the present invention further presents improved oxygen barrier properties relative to existing films, sheets, or extrusion coatings. Due to the strong structural properties, the polymeric film, sheet, or extrusion coating allows for the inclusion of recycled content into applications where recycled content has previously not been able to be included, such as flexible food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics packaging.

ELASTIC FILM, A METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ELASTIC FILM, AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING ELASTIC LAMINATES
An elastic film including a plurality of parallel elastic ribbons elongated in a longitudinal direction and spaced apart from each other in a transverse direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, wherein the elastic ribbons are coated on at least one surface by at least one skin layer which joins the plurality of parallel elastic ribbons to each other.
Hot-melt adhesives with improved adhesion and cohesion
Adhesive hot-melt formulations with a main polymeric component, of at least one isotactic metallocene butene-1 polymer composition, that has a low viscosity, and that has a bimodal composition, directly obtained during polymerization, in two consecutive and separate reaction steps. Moreover, said hot-melts include less than 5% by weight of at least one viscosity modifier that is not solid at room temperature. Such unusually low level of said additives, surprisingly allows to attain substantially improved levels both of high adhesiveness and cohesion. The adhesive hot-melt formulations include less than 5% by weight of a polyethylene wax or of a blend of polyethylene waxes, that characterized by a highly linear/non-branched structure and by an exceptionally low Polydispersity Index. The presence of such peculiar polyethylene waxes, that are partially incompatible with the butene-1 polymer composition, allows to use the disclosed hot-melt formulations even in the presence of fibrous or perforated substrates.
NONWOVEN FABRIC AND PROCESS FOR FORMING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a nonwoven fabric comprising a plurality of polypropylene-containing fibers that form a nonwoven web, which fibers in addition contain a slip agent, the web has a side which is provided with an alternating pattern which consists of individualized bonded areas which bonded areas are in the form of rods which are arranged in the cross direction of the web, the alternating pattern of individualized bonded areas defines a non-bonded area, the web has a basis weight on the range of from 5-25 g/m.sup.2, the surface of the bonded areas is in the range of 5-20% of the total surface of the side, and the surface of the non-bonded area is in the range of 80-95% of the total surface of the side. The present invention further relates to a process for forming the nonwoven fabric.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES COMPRISING GARMENT-FACING LAMINATES
An absorbent article is provided. The absorbent article comprises a liquid permeable topsheet on a wearer-facing side of the absorbent article and a garment-facing laminate on a garment-facing side of the absorbent article. The garment-facing laminate comprises a first nonwoven layer and a second layer joined to the first nonwoven layer. The first nonwoven layer comprises a plurality of apertures. At least 3 of the plurality of apertures in a repeat unit have a different Effective Aperture Area, according to the Aperture Test herein, a different shape, or a different Absolute Feret Angle, according to the Aperture Test herein. The absorbent article comprises an absorbent core disposed at least partially intermediate the liquid permeable topsheet and the garment-facing laminate.
HIGH PERFORMANCE NONWOVEN STRUCTURE
The presently disclosed subject matter relates to multi-layer nonwoven materials and their use in absorbent articles. More particularly, the presently disclosed subject matter relates to layered structures that have high absorbency performance while having less absorbent mass than other commercially available materials.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
Provided is an absorbent article having excellent shape retention of an absorber even when an external force is applied thereto. The present invention is an absorbent article having: an aqueous-liquid absorbing part having crosslinked polymer particles having as essential constitutional units thereof a water-soluble vinyl monomer and/or a vinyl monomer which became the water-soluble vinyl monomer by hydrolysis, and a crosslinking agent; and a nonwoven fabric having porous fibers as an essential constituent thereof, the crosslinked polymer particles preferably absorbing 40 times the weight thereof of physiological saline 40 in 40-150 seconds.
