A method for producing elastic laminates includes gripping first and second continuous elastic films in respective gripping zones by respective first and second stretching members, transversely stretching the first and second continuous elastic films by rotating said first and second stretching members about respective first and second axes of rotation inclined with respect to each other, and releasing the transversely stretched first and second continuous elastic films from the respective first and second stretching members in respective release zones aligned along a common transverse release line.

PLANAR COMPOSITE MATERIAL
20180001594 · 2018-01-04 · ·

A sheetlike composite material including at least one layer A of a nonwoven thermoplastic fiber web or a thermoplastic film, and at least two unidirectional oriented-fiber layers B and B′, the layers B and B′ having a bidirectional fiber orientation. The layers are not only needled but also stitched to one another.

Medical protective clothing materials

Protective clothing materials and related methods and garments are provided. In some embodiments, a protective clothing material may comprise a fibrous layer that serves as a barrier to certain fluids (e.g., bodily fluids, water) and microbes. The impermeability of the fibrous layer may be due, at least in part, to the structural uniformity and/or relatively small pore size of the fibrous layer. In some embodiments, the fibrous layer may have a relatively high air permeability that imparts beneficial properties (e.g., relatively high air flow, breathability) to the protective clothing material without adversely affecting its protection rating. In certain embodiments, the protective clothing material may also comprise one or more coarse nonwoven webs that impart beneficial properties (e.g., splash resistance) to the protective clothing material. The protective clothing materials, described herein, may be particularly useful for a wide variety of applications, including the formation of AAMI level 4 protective garments.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A FOLDED PANEL, AND A FOLDED PANEL
20230001604 · 2023-01-05 ·

A method for manufacturing a folded panel including the following steps: providing a longitudinal recess at the rear side, such that at the front side between remaining panel sections on both sides of the recess a flexible transition section remains, bending the panel sections relative to each other and applying an adhesive in the recess. Before the panel sections are bent relative to each other, a template is inserted into the recess.

A KIND OF LIGHT-TRANSLUCENT ARTIFICIAL LEATHERETTE AND A PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR, A KIND OF COMPOSITE LEATHERETTE AND AN AUTOMOTIVE INTERIOR

A light-translucent artificial leatherette (e.g., for use in an automotive interior) consists of a surface treating agent layer and a multilayer polymer material construction. The multilayer polymer material construction is comprised of at least an epidermal layer, which is a pigmented layer, and a surface treating agent layer, which is affixed to the epidermal layer. The light-translucent artificial leatherette is further comprised of a light-shielding layer, within which an inverse mask or light-transparent patterned structure is incorporated. The light-shielding layer is positioned between two laminates of the multilayer polymer construction adjacent thereto. The light-shielding layer is positioned directly between two laminates of the multilayer polymer construction adjacent thereto, and an inverse mask pattern is embedded into the light-shielding layer. A light source can illuminate the inverse mask structure and thereby display an inverse mask pattern on the light-translucent artificial leatherette surface.

Asymmetric polytetrafluoroethylene composite having a macro-textured surface and method for making the same

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composite articles that have a macro textured surface. The composite articles include at least two different PTFE membranes in a layered or stacked configuration. The composite article has a macro textured surface characterized by a plurality of strands raised from the surface of the PTFE membrane. The strands may be formed of either interconnected nodes of PTFE or of at least one nodal mass of PTFE and have a length equal to or greater than about 1.5 mm. The macro textured surface provides a topography to the first PTFE membrane. The composite articles have a bubble point from about 3.0 psi to about 200 psi, a thickness from about 0.01 to about 3.0 mm, and a bulk density from about 0.01 g/cm.sup.3 to about 1.0 g/cm.sup.3.

Pet resistant engineered hardwood floor and method of making

A floor plank having a rigid, composite core having an upper side and a underside, the core being thermally stable and formed of PVC and calcium carbonate material that does not include ortho-phthalates, a wood veneer having a lower surface on the upper side of the core and further including an exposed surface, a protective coating on the exposed surface of the wood veneer, the protective coating formed of catalyzed polyurethane having aluminum oxide particles, and a thermo-acoustic cushion coating on the back surface of the core. A method of making is also provided.
