In line edge-sealing system and method
An inline edge-sealing apparatus and method for sealing the kerf surfaces of cut cellular PVC board includes a rotary saw with either a tandem sealing disc or with an integral elevated sealing surface that is dimensioned to provide precise interference with kerf surfaces for friction and heat to melt and seal the surfaces in an aesthetically desirable manner. A kerf splitter, such as a kerf splitting pin, rod or riving knife, may be provided following a saw blade with integral kerf-engaging surface to avoid disruption of the sealed surface when cut boards exit the saw blade teeth.
Systems and methods for cutting label material
The present invention is an apparatus and method for cutting individual label strips from a roll of label web utilizing a cutter assembly. A label cutter comprises a cutter assembly for continuously and independently controlling the rotational speeds of a rotating cutter shaft, a stationary shaft, and a label feed roller is provided. The length of the label strip is controlled by the distinct speed of rotation of a stationary knife, the stationary knife is rotatably coupled to the stationary shaft. At least one cutter blade is operatively associated to the rotating cutter shaft for cutting the label web. The stationary knife rotates with a speed of rotation different from the speed of rotation of the cutter blade to produce longer or shorter label length strips. The frequency at which the cutter blade meets the stationary knife is inversely related to the length of the label strip that is produced during cut off.
Transaction card incorporating aluminum alloys
Disclosed are examples of transaction cards incorporating aluminum or aluminum alloys. The aluminum can be extracted or recycled from a retired aircraft. Other materials can also be incorporated into the transaction card to provide sufficient weight and rigidity to the transaction card. Stainless steel can be incorporated into the construction of the card in combination with aluminum to provide a desired user experience.
FLEXIBLE DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COVER THEREOF
Disclosed are a display device and a method for manufacturing a cover thereof. A method for manufacturing a cover of a display device comprises: (a) a step in which a BM printing layer is formed on the front surface of a transparent film, and a release film is attached thereto; (b) a step in which the release film is cut along the BM printing layer; (c) a step in which the release film attached to the front surface of the transparent film is removed; (d) a step in which an abrasion-resistant coating layer is formed on the front surface of the transparent film; and (e) a step in which the release film attached to the BM printing layer is removed.
SOLAR PANEL DISASSEMBLING APPARATUS
A solar panel disassembling apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure separates a glass plate of a solar panel and a film layer bonded to the glass plate from each other. The solar panel disassembling apparatus includes a supply module that stands and fixes the solar panel such that a bond line between the glass plate and the film layer is exposed upward and downward and that moves the solar panel in a parallel direction parallel to a bonding surface between the glass plate and the film layer, and a wire-shaped cutting blade that is disposed in front of the solar panel in a movement direction of the solar panel to have a distance from the supply module, is disposed in parallel to the bonding surface, and separates the glass plate and the film layer from each other.
COMPOSITE SHEET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, AND LAMINATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
One aspect of the present invention provides a composite sheet which comprises a nitride sintered body having a porous structure and a semi-cured product of a thermosetting resin composition impregnated into the nitride sintered body, the line roughness Rz specified by JIS B 0601:2013 of at least one main surface being 10 μm or less.
LASER PROCESSING METHOD AND LASER PROCESSING DEVICE
A laser processing method for cutting a base material, including stacked first and second layers having different thermal expansion coefficients, includes radiating laser light onto a first inter-layer part under prescribed first inter-layer conditions, to cut the first inter-layer part, which extends from a position in the vicinity of a layer boundary inward of the surface of the second layer, through the layer boundary between the second layer and the first layer, to a position in the vicinity of a layer boundary inward of said one surface of the first layer, and radiating the laser light onto a part of the first layer inward from the position in the vicinity of the layer boundary, under first conditions, to cut the first layer, wherein the first inter-layer condition is a condition under which the amount of heat input by the laser light is less than under the first condition.
RECYCLABLE PACKAGING FILM AND ARTICLE WITH MECHANICALLY PRE-SLIT CONTROLLED TEAR LINE
A method of forming a flexible packaging film includes providing a first web including a polymer sealant layer, the first web having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. A second web including a polymer outer layer is provided, the second web having a third major surface and a fourth major surface opposite the third major surface. An adhesive layer is applied to the second major surface and the first web is laminated to the third major surface. Prior to laminating the first web to the second web, one or more slits are formed in the second web.
WOOD COMPOSITE BLOCK, TRANSLUCENT WOOD VENEER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
The invention relates to a multilayer wood composite block comprising a plurality of wood layers, wherein at least 5 wood layers of the plurality of wood layers have a layer thickness of 0.05 to 1 mm; a plurality of plastic layers, wherein at least 5 plastic layers of the plurality of plastic layers consist of translucent and/or transparent plastic and have a layer thickness of 0.05 to 1 mm; and a plurality of adhesive layers; wherein the wood and/or plastic layers are arranged in a superimposed manner; and wherein the adhesive layers are arranged between successive wood and/or plastic layers and bond them together; and a multilayer wood veneer.
