MEASURING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CALIBRATING PRINTING STATIONS
A measurement system includes a measurement device to detect measurement information relating to a position-modifiable component of a printing station during movement thereof. A calculation unit receives the measurement information from the measurement device. The calculation unit determines actual-position data of the position-modifiable component from the measurement data received and compares it with predetermined reference-position data to determine calibration information based on the actual-position data and the reference-position data. An interface permits then permits transfer of this calibration information.
Method of operating a rotary printing press
In a method for operating a rotary printing press, preferably a flexographic printing press that processes webs, disturbances of a rotating printing cylinder are detected and reduced by changing the printing speed. Here, the disturbances are detected at an actuating drive of the printing cylinder. This leads to a cost-efficient way of printing without disturbances.

Disclosed is a corrugated paperboard printer comprising a pressing device for applying a pressing force to press a chamber which reserves ink toward an anilox roll. The pressing device is configured to apply a first pressing force, and a second pressing force which is greater than the first pressing force, respectively, to a first pressing area and a second pressing area in a back surface of a chamber frame. In a state in which no pressing force is applied by the pressing device, bending occurring in the chamber frame due to a load transmitted from a printing roll to the chamber frame via the anilox roll as printing is performed to a corrugated paperboard sheet is greater in the second pressing area than in the first pressing area.

It is possible to provide a gas collection device of a printing press, which can prevent a work environment in which the printing press is installed from being deteriorated by the gas of the volatile organic compound.

A printing machine includes: a printing plate attached to a plate cylinder; a blanket configured to transfer ink from the printing plate to a printed material; a blanket wheel configured to rotate the blanket; and at least one of a distance sensor or a temperature sensor. The distance sensor is provided in the blanket wheel and configured to measure a distance of the printing plate to the blanket wheel, and the temperature sensor is provided in the blanket wheel and configured to measure a temperature of the printing plate.

A method for computer-aided sheet running control in a sheet-fed printing machine includes, during a printing operation, using a measuring sensor to detect a printed sheet in the printing machine and using an activation sensor to initiate measuring performed by the measuring sensor by emitting an activation signal. The activation sensor is mechanically fixedly installed without adjustment, and temporal deviations of the activation signal are determined and compensated. A device for driving a stamping foil over a path through a stamping machine is disclosed herein. The driving device comprises two foil-introduction chain-like elements and a drive member coupled to the foil-introduction chain-like elements for driving the foil-introduction chain-like elements notably through a platen press of a stamping machine. The driving device further comprises at least one first load-measurement device comprising a first detector configured to measure a parameter indicative of the load applied by the drive member for driving the foil-introduction chain-like elements in a first direction, the at least one first load-measurement device being connected to a stamping-machine control unit configured to stop the driving by the drive member when the parameter indicative of the load applied by the drive member and measured by the first detector crosses a threshold.
