Printing system and method including printing roll having elastically deformable and compressible thick inner layer
A printing system (200) including a printing roll (220) is provided. The printing roll (220) includes an elastically deformable and compressible inner layer (224) and a thin outer shell (222) to cover the inner layer (224). The thin outer shell (222) includes a pattern of raised print features (223) to receive ink material thereon. The inner layer (224) is softer and thicker than the thin outer shell (222), and optionally, the thin outer shell (222) is removable from the inner layer (224). The inner layer (224) of the printing roll (220) has a thickness, a compression force deflection value and an elastically-deformable compressibility such that the raised print features (223) of the printing roll (220) do not slide or deform with respect to the printed web (2) in an amount to generate a substantially visible dot gain.

Vertical double-sided rotary screen transfer printing apparatus
A vertical double-sided rotary screen transfer printing apparatus includes a vertical rack and one or more pair of rotary screen transfer printing assemblies horizontally disposed opposite to each other. Each rotary screen transfer printing assembly includes a rotary screen plate roller and a transfer roller arranged parallel to each other. The rotary screen plate roller transfers a pattern onto the transfer roller serving as a temporary transfer carrier. The transfer roller transfers the pattern onto a fabric passing in a vertical direction between the rotary screen transfer printing assemblies opposite to each other.
Web-fed printing machine including processing modules and carrier modules
A web-fed printing machine that is highly variable in terms of its configuration, provides a high degree of positioning accuracy of processing modules and has a cost-efficient machine frame, includes a plurality of the processing modules fixed to the machine frame. Each respective processing module is advantageously fixed to the machine frame by a respective carrier module. Every carrier module includes two parallel longitudinal beams extending in the machine direction and two parallel crossbars which are oriented at right angles to the longitudinal beams and which interconnect the two longitudinal beams.

VERTICAL DOUBLE-SIDED ROTARY SCREEN TRANSFER PRINTING APPARATUS
A vertical duplex rotary screen transfer printing device, comprising a vertical frame and at least one pair of rotary screen transfer printing assemblies horizontally opposite to each other. Each rotary screen transfer printing assembly comprises a rotary screen plate roller and a transfer roller arranged parallel to each other; the rotary screen plate roller transfers a pattern onto the transfer roller serving as a temporary transfer carrier; the transfer roller transfers the pattern onto a fabric passing in a vertical direction between the rotary screen transfer printing assemblies opposite to each other.
Method of manufacturing pattern and apparatus therefor
A method of manufacturing a pattern on a substrate web includes providing a production tool having a surface relief structure of elevations and depressions. The elevations correspond to a desired pattern. A curable material is applied to the elevations. The material is brought into contact with a substrate web at a first location. The substrate web and surface relief structure are transported together in contact from the first location to a second location spaced from one another along the transport direction of the substrate web. The substrate web is separated from the surface relief structure at the second location whereupon the material forming the pattern is affixed to and carried by the substrate web. The material is cured by exposure to a curing energy source, either between the first and second locations and/or after the substrate web has been separated from the surface relief structure at the second location.
