AN APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR PRINTING WITH TACTILE AND GLITTER EFFECT ON FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATE AND PRINTED SUBSTRATE THEREOF
An apparatus and process for producing multicolour print with tactile and glitter or other effect on a flexible substrate (100, 400A) is disclosed. The rotogravure printing machine includes a plurality of printing stations (402, 404, 406, 408 and 410) and an inline coating station (412). Printing cylinder of at least one of the printing stations is engraved with depth (d1, d2) between 20 microns and 300 microns, to transfer large volume of radiation curable inks mixed with or without glitter. The coating station (412) provides a clear coat of radiation curable coating mixed with or without glitter, at desirable location on the substrate. The gravure or flexography based coating station may apply spot coating or overall coating based on the requirement. At least one of the printing stations and the coating station may include curing unit (422, 424, 426 and 432) for curing the printed ink and applied coating.
Roll take-up device with an electrical contact for a roll of a sheetlike composite for producing dimensionally stable food and drink containers
The invention relates to a roll take-up device (110) designed for a) taking up a sheetlike composite (101), and b) rolling up or unrolling or both rolling up and unrolling a roll (102) of the sheetlike composite (101); i) a carrier layer (304), ii) a barrier layer (306) and iii) an inner polymer layer (308); wherein, in the roll (102), at least 10 laminas of the sheetlike composite (101) are overlaid on one another from the inside outwards or vice versa; wherein the laminas respectively have the series of layers (304, 306, 308); wherein one layer (306) of the series of layers of the sheetlike composite (101) is an electrically conductive layer.
Printing method with oxidative-drying intaglio ink and UV-VIS-curable intaglio inks
The present invention relates to the field of the intaglio printing process. In particular, the present invention relates to a method that combines intaglio inks curable by oxidation with UV-VIS-curable intaglio inks on one intaglio plate or cylinder. The disclosed method results in an intaglio printed security element using advantageously the unalike properties of the different inks while enabling the printing on a standard printing press in one printing step.

ROLL TAKE-UP DEVICE WITH AN ELECTRICAL CONTACT FOR A ROLL OF A SHEETLIKE COMPOSITE FOR PRODUCING DIMENSIONALLY STABLE FOOD AND DRINK CONTAINERS
The invention relates to a roll take-up device (110) designed for a) taking up a sheetlike composite (101), and b) rolling up or unrolling or both rolling up and unrolling a roll (102) of the sheetlike composite (101); i) a carrier layer (304), ii) a barrier layer (306) and iii) an inner polymer layer (308); wherein, in the roll (102), at least 10 laminas of the sheetlike composite (101) are overlaid on one another from the inside outwards or vice versa; wherein the laminas respectively have the series of layers (304, 306, 308); wherein one layer (306) of the series of layers of the sheetlike composite (101) is an electrically conductive layer;
A FLOORING PANEL AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention is directed to a floor panel that is processed on roll equipment, whereby a decorative design consisting of elongated striations is printed with the elongated striations oriented in an across-machine direction. The decorative design is printed on a print layer and is subsequently laminated to a substrate layer. The laminated flooring material is then cut such that the elongate sides of the panels are cut in the across machine direction. This results in a floor panel with greater dimensional stability on the elongate side.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A WEB-FED PRINTING PRESS
A method for operating webfed printing presses producing printed products, includes providing a reel stand and printing units. A flying web change from first to a second webs takes place with production of a splice, and settings are made on printing units coordinating with passage of the splice through the press. At least two printing units are configured as double printing units for flexographic printing and operated for producing printed products. Each double printing unit includes first and second partial printing units, and first or second partial printing units are activated or deactivated according to passage of the splice through the press, or a switchover occurs from first to second partial printing units of the double printing unit, or vice versa. The flexographic printing press is operable nonstop and automatically during web change. When operating a web-processing rotary printing press for flexographic printing, automation, productivity and print quality increases.
