A system (20) and method for printing on clear polymeric film web (24) are disclosed. A first stationary inkjet print unit (44, 60, 70, 82) has first ejection nozzles that span a width of the clear polymeric film web and a second stationary inkjet print unit (44, 60, 70, 82) has second ejection nozzles that span the width of the clear polymeric film web. A web transport conveys the clear polymeric film web past the stationary inkjet print units. First and second print controllers operate the first and second and stationary inkjet print units to deposit drops of a first and a second material on the clear polymeric film web at a first and a second resolution, respectively. In addition, dimensions and position of a page element to be printed on the clear polymeric film web are adjusted to compensate for distortion that may occur to the printed page element due to shrinking of the clear polymeric film web.

A recording method includes: a white ink attachment step of ejecting a white ink composition containing a white coloring material from a white ink jet head and attaching the white ink composition to a recording medium; a non-white ink attachment step of ejecting a non-white ink composition containing a non-white coloring material from a non-white ink jet head and attaching the non-white ink composition to the recording medium; and a primary drying step of heating the white ink composition and the non-white ink composition attached to the recording medium by a drying mechanism. In the white ink attachment step and the non-white ink attachment step, a layer containing the white ink composition and the non-white ink composition is formed by performing main scanning multiple times, in which the ink compositions are ejected and attached to the recording medium, and by attaching the white ink composition and the non-white ink composition to the same scanning region in the recording medium by the same main scanning, while moving a position of an ink jet head relative to the recording medium.

The present invention relates to an ultraviolet curable ink composition including a colorant, an epoxy monomer, an oxetane monomer, a cationic photopolymerization initiator, and a polymerization inhibitor, wherein the weight ratio of epoxy monomer:oxetane monomer is 1:0.5 to 1:6, to a method for forming a bezel pattern by using the same, to a bezel pattern manufactured thereby, and to a display substrate having the same.

An apparatus and methods of decorating a metallic container are provided. More specifically, the present invention relates to apparatus and methods used to provide a decoration or indicia on a predetermined portion of an outer surface of a metallic container body. The decorator includes at least one digital print unit, a transfer blanket, and a support element. The digital print unit transfers a decorating material to the transfer blanket to form a decoration on the transfer blanket. The support element then moves a metallic container into contact with the transfer blanket. In this manner, the decorating material is transferred to an exterior surface portion of the metallic container to decorate the metallic container. In one embodiment, the digital print unit is an electrophotographic system which transfers a toner material to the transfer blanket. In another embodiment, the digital print unit includes an inkjet print head which transfers an ink to the transfer blanket. Optionally, the decorator may include two or more support elements.

An image forming apparatus comprises a conveyance unit configured to convey a long-shaped print medium in a longitudinal direction, an image forming unit configured to form an image on the print medium, a drying unit configured to dry the print medium on which an image has been formed in the image forming unit, and a control unit configured to, after interrupting image formation on the print medium by the image forming unit, control the image forming unit and the conveyance unit so as to convey and then stop at an ejection position at which the portion has been ejected from inside of the drying unit a portion of the print medium on which image formation has been performed.

In particular, the invention relates to a machine (1) for printing information on a container or blank label applied to said container, comprising: at least one rotary information printing station (2, 2′); a system (3) for feeding containers to said at least one rotary information printing station (2, 2′); a system (4) for picking the printed containers from said at least one rotary information printing station (2, 2′).

A processing device capable of performing appropriate processing on a set platen, and a platen are provided. A platen that is used in a printer and at least one of a pretreatment device and a post-treatment device is provided with a platen identification information portion that identifies the platen. A code reader receives platen identification information that identifies the platen, from the platen identification information portion. The printer and at least one of the pretreatment device and the post-treatment device perform processing on the basis of the platen identification information received by the code reader.

An apparatus is disclosed for printing images on generally cylindrical objects. The apparatus comprises an impression station that includes a movable imaging surface for bearing an ink image; and a transport mechanism for advancing the objects through the impression station, comprising a drive member rotatably connected to a plurality of rotatable mandrels, each for mounting a respective one of the objects, the transport mechanism being configured to cause each object to rotate during passage through the impression station such that, within a nip region of the impression station, the surface of the object makes rolling contact with the imaging surface, thereby causing the ink image to be impressed on the object. An impression platen is provided opposite the imaging surface within the nip region, the impression platen being configured to apply a force, directly or indirectly, to the objects to ensure rolling contact between the objects and the imaging surface.

Embodiments provide for systems and methods related to kiosks for personalizing a packaged article. The kiosks may also be used for storage, inventory management, retrieval, packaging, and/or personalization of packaged articles. The kiosks discussed herein differ from non-kiosk personalization systems, such as personalization systems installed on a factory or warehouse floor, in that the kiosks are self-contained personalization systems. In some embodiments, the kiosks are portable and can be moved between different sites or events. This portability allows the kiosks to personalize packaged articles for concerts, festivals, conventions, trade shows, and the like.
