A feeding apparatus includes a measurement unit measuring an attribute of a sheet fed by a feeding unit to obtain an attribute value; a notification control unit making a notification of information representing sheet types in accordance with the attribute value obtained by the measurement unit; a selection unit accepting selection of a sheet type after the notification; a setting unit setting the sheet type selected by the selection unit as a type of the sheet; a history storage unit storing history information serving as information of sheet types accepted once by the selection unit; and a reference storage unit storing reference information serving as reference attribute values. The notification of the information represents the sheet types in a notification order decided based on the reference attribute values stored in the history information and the attribute value obtained by the measurement unit.

A printer includes: a platen configured to allow a rolled first recording medium and a sheet-like second recording medium to be placed thereon; and a guide table detachably provided on a base member and configured to guide movement of the second recording medium. The platen includes a first platen on which the first recording medium and the second recording medium are placed, and a second platen disposed ahead of the first platen, including an upper surface tilted obliquely downward from the rear toward the front, and configured to guide movement of the first recording medium. A food service material dispenser comprises a roll holder configured to hold a roll of food service material, one or more rollers, and a motor configured to operate to translate the food service material along a path within the dispenser. The dispenser includes a cutting arrangement configured to perform a cut of the food service material to form the sheet of food service material that defines a size associated with a food service order. The dispenser also includes a printer configured to print at least one of order information or personalization information on the food service material that is based on the associated food service order. The dispenser further includes a chute configured to dispense the sheet of food service material, which includes the at least one of order information or personalization information printed thereon.

An information processing apparatus includes a type reception unit, a notification unit, a mode reception unit, and a determination unit. The mode reception unit receives a mode selected from among a plurality of modes for determining a determined type of recording medium for use in a recording apparatus, wherein the information processing apparatus is configured to perform operations including determining, in a designation mode, a selected type of recording medium indicated by information received by the type reception unit, and determining, in an automatic determination mode, an automatically determined type of recording medium for use in the recording apparatus without receiving input user information indicating the recording medium type. In response to the determination unit determining that the mode is able to be changed from the designation mode to the automatic determination mode, the notification unit issues a prompting notification to prompt a user to change the mode.

An information processing apparatus includes an obtaining unit that obtains media information concerning paper sheets set in media feed units provided to a printing apparatus, respectively, and includes a control unit. The control unit determines that designation information for determining a used media feed unit to be used for printing is not required in a case where it is possible to selectively determine the used media feed unit from the media feed units based on the media information. The control unit indicates the designation information in a case where it is not possible to determine the used media feed unit based on the media information.

An image recording apparatus including a first tray having a first holding portion for holding sheets, a second tray disposed above the first tray and including a second holding portion for holding sheets, a sheet feeder that selectively feeds a sheet from one of the first tray and the second tray in a sheet feed direction, a recording unit that records an image on the sheet fed by the sheet feeder, and a discharge roller that discharges the sheet on which the image is recorded by the recording unit. The second holding portion of the second tray moves above the first holding portion of the first tray. The second tray further includes a discharged sheet receiving portion for receiving the sheet discharged by the discharge roller. The second tray including the discharged sheet receiving portion pivots relative to the first tray.

A printing device includes a first ejector that ejects a recording medium to an exterior, a second ejector that enhances a rigidity of the recording medium more than by the first ejector, and ejects the recording medium to the exterior, and an ejector selector that selects either the first ejector or the second ejector.

An image forming apparatus includes a memory and a controller. The memory is configured to store information related to a recording medium type detected by a detector in the past. The controller is configured to control a feeder so as to prevent feeding of a recording medium from starting, when a printing operation is started in a first mode, in a case that a recording medium type set through a setting unit and a recording medium type discriminated based on the information stored in the memory do not match with each other.

A printing apparatus to communicate with a terminal apparatus, includes a storing unit, an acquiring unit, a receiving unit, and a printing unit. The storing unit stores information for specifying first paper types selectable in the terminal apparatus. The terminal apparatus acquires the information from the printing apparatus and displays the first paper types as selection candidate paper types. The acquiring unit acquires a second paper type. The receiving unit receives a first paper type from the first paper types for printing of an image. The printing unit prints the image where the first paper type corresponding to second paper types is received and any of the second paper types corresponding to the first paper type is acquired, and does not print the image where the first paper type corresponding to second paper types is received and another second paper type different from the second paper types is acquired.
